Dear Mr. Rivera, I have been a satisfied customer of Aventura Honda even before the dealer was named Potamking Honda and I'm I really sorry that I have to write this letter.
I am writing this letter as a last opportunity for you to take care of my refund situation.
During December 2010 your sales representative Donald Belizaire called my house phone and my cellular just about everyday telling me about the great deals on the new Crossover Honda Accords.
I kept telling Donald that my lease was not up until the month of June of 2011; but that during one of the following weekends I would stop by to learn about the great deals he had on the 2010 Crossover.
On December 27th we arrived at the dealer around 11:00 am, my wife and I stopped by the dealer to look at the cars on the show room. To make this long story short my wife got so tired of waiting for the finance department she ended living the dealer around 5 p.m. and I left 3 hours later with a The New Crossover it was after 8 p.m. in the evening
Mr. Falcone the finance director at the time was very apologetic about the poor service and my situation of having to wait 9 hours, he indicated that because of the holidays they had people out on vacation and that he was all by himself. We proceeded to finish signing the deal.
On several occasions I mentioned to Mr. Falcone, Mr. Belazaire and Mr. Gonzalez that we had sent out the January payment for the 2008 Honda Accord we were trading in. They all indicated that I would get a refund. Mr. Falcone called Honda financial and verified the payment had not been posted. He received the amount for the pay-off and indicated to me that I would get a refund of the January payment.
During the next two months we stopped several times to find out about the new payments and the refund for the old car, during January and February we kept receiving statements From Honda Financial for the 2008 Honda Accord as if we were delinquent.
since I had no statement from Honda for the new car I had to personally take the January 27th payment directly to Mr. Falcone and the February 27th payment directly to Mr. Falcone.
I received two temporary tags as the tags kept expiring and we had not received any paperwork on the new car. Tired of not getting this situation resolved we stopped in once again...and wanted to see you, but Carlos Scarr intercepted us, I told him the situation an he ended telling me that he will get down to the bottom of the situation.
Mr. Scarr found out within 15 minutes directly from Honda Financial that the hold up was a verification letter from Bank of America verifying a loan modification payment made to Bank of America. As soon as we got out of Mr. Scarr's office we went to Bank of America just a few blocks away from the dealer... we got the letter, came back to the dealer within a couple of hours and turn in the verification letter to Peter Gonzalez. A few weeks later we finally got our paper work from Honda Financial and apparently everything was taken care off.
I proceeded to call Mr. Falcone for my refund and he kept telling me that I would get the refund any day from Honda financial. After numerous calls to Mr. Falcone and trips to the dealer I ended again with Mr. Scarr. he proceeded to tell me that Mr. Falcone was no longer with the dealer and that I was ($#%@) out of luck because he had not left anything in writing about a refund; Mr. Scarr asked me to speak to Peter Gonzalez who was the sales manager during the transaction and that if Mr. Gonzalez could verify the situation he would have to issue the check request. A few minutes later I called Peter Gonzalez who proceeded to tell me that he could not remember the sales transaction but that he would speak to Donald Belizaire.
Mr. Belizaire verified the conversation with Mr. falcone and Mr. Gonzalez about the refund situation. I called Mr. Gonzalez back and ask about my refund? he did verified that Mr. Belazaire remembered about the refund but indicated to me that I would not get a refund because it was my fault the deal took so long to process.
I don't know exactly how Honda works. But one thing I do know; I am due a refund of $455.07 for the January payment of a car you guys had in your lot since December 27th 2010. Mr. Ramirez I'm giving you two weeks... which is ample time to issue me the refund of $455.07. If I do not get my refund I will have no choice but to place an attorney in the case. I hope the buck stops at your office.
Thank you in advanced for your prompt response.
