My complaint is against the company "Aventurine SA." Their website is http://www.aventurine.gr/ and the website for the product/service for which they are not honoring their initial promises used to be located at http://www.darkfallonline.com, but they have since removed it and replaced it with a new site, several months AFTER their product launched, hiding the promises they had previously made.
Aventurine SA, a video game design company, advertised their new game "DarkFall" with the promise that subscribers could have one character per server, and that those who wished to purchase the EU launch in lieu of waiting for the NA launch would be able to access the NA launch, when released. A North American server is now available, and they are refusing to honor this promise, saying that we must pay extra money to either repurchase the product for North America, or pay a fee to transfer our characters in order change our accounts from an EU to a NA account. I don't care about the character, I just want to be able to access a server in NA that I can establish a reliable connection with.
As far as I am aware, this what is called a bait and switch scam. I have tried to resolve this via their online support, and they refuse to even acknowledge my issue. Their first response was to refuse me a refund, which I did not ask for or even mention. Their second response was to tell me to wait for a character transfer, which I had made clear I was not interested in.
As I no longer believe they are willing to resolve issues, and instead simply want to grab as much money as they can, I will no longer be patronizing them. I am simply trying to get word out so nobody else is harmed by these dishonest people.
