Away We Go Promotions Reviews

Lost money
In Sept. of 2009 I visited a travel club presentation at Modern Destinations in Manalapan, NJ. I was told I would get a 7 night cruise of my choice plus air-fare, and that all I had to do was pay the taxes and port charges. The package was to come from awaywegopromotins in Philadelphia. The price of the cruise was $249 per person and the airfare was $50 per person. I sent them payment in October of 2009: $498 for 2 people for the cruise and $100 for 2 people for the airfare, and my 2 requested dates for trips. They responded back saying they could not fulfill the first one and would be able to do the second. I emailed them 3 times for updates before the trip date and they stated that they would confirm 14-30 days before travel date. On the 14th day before we were to leave, they send me an email stating they cannot process the trip at this time. I tried to call the Customer Service number and it puts you into a voice mail box. I tried to call MDU and they said they stopped doing business with Away We Go Promotions because they were getting complaints from customers that their trips were not being fulfilled. I requested the refund of my deposit money, and they stopped contacting me via e-mail immediately. I got ripped off $598 and I know that I am not the only person who got cheated by this company (if the company ever existed...). Please let me know what should I do to get my money back. I am single mom and $598 means a lot of money for me. I ordered money order tracking through the post office, and I received a confirmation that both my money orders have been cashed. I have all copies, receipts and e-mails available, if needed. Thank you for your help.

I recieved a postcard in the mail, went to Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill, NJ, listened to a speel about timeshares, I was giving a coupon for flights $50 per person and a 8 day/7 night cruise for $249 per person. It has been @ months since I have mailed a total of $598 with coupon and info. I have called the number numerous times, it goes right to voicemail, I have left a number of messages and no response, I have looked for a website and there is none. I just want my money back, I am a single mother of 3 kids and Christmas is coming. Please help me!!

Took our money and did not provide service.
We went to a timeshare presentation. We were promised airline tickets. We followed the instructions to pay taxes and gave request for travel dates. 10 days before our trip we received an email stating the time we requested was not available.I asked for our money back. They said they would mail it in 15 days and that was in May. It is now July23rd and I am still waiting.

possible fraud in travel promotion
My husband and I attended a discount travel promotion presentation on a Saturday morning in early May 2010, held in the Georgetown district of Washington DC. A slick presentation, during which the presenter put us on the spot for already owning a timeshare in Hawai'i (which we bought as a resale on EBay for a greatly discounted price and without closing costs, we have used it for several years without a problem and it is right on the beach in Waikiki). The presenter" and his team worked us over for sure, but we left without buying into the discount travel program they offered. We received, as advertised, 2 vouchers - one for airfare and one for a cruise. We mailed in our vouchers and paperwork before the posted deadline, and received back our Promotions reservation request forms for air fare (2 adults RT in continental US) and 7-day Caribbean cruise (any cruise line at selected starting points) . We filled out our request for the cruise (which we knew would be based upon availability), attached a postal money order to "Promotions" for approxiamtely $500 in port taxes, as well as our US passport information. This was sent by certified mail on 26 May 2010, requesting a cruise for 28 or 29 August 2010 (well within their guidelines for 60 day notice). Although we were only asked to provide 2 choices, I provided 5 choices for 28-29 August, all out of Florida. We were told we would be notified 14-30 days prior to the cruise. On instinct, I emailed them at their email address of [email protected] (no tel # was provided on the reservation request form) on Monday, 19 July 2010. Today (20 July 2010) I received an email from "Nancy Hightower "at [email protected] saying that they did not have an activiated reservation request form in their files or were able to locate a travel request form in their system, and claiming that their mail department requires 2-4 weeks for process and "were behind." I offered to fax another copy of the reservation request form to them, using the fax # she gave me of 1-800-886-4546. Despite 3-4 attempts, their fax machine was "busy/not repsonding" according to my fucntioning fax machine. I emailed her and told her that her fax machine was dysfunctional, and provided her my cell phone # to call me. I have received no call from her or her designate at this point in time. I then emailed her and asked for her office tel number, but did not receive a response either by email or tel. I looked up Away We Go Promotions on the internet, and found their posted tel # of 1-877-994-6292 but not one was available to take my call. Her latest email response, prior to the fax machine being dysfunctional, instructed me to send them a copy of our post money order receipt, certified mail receipt, and our contact information so that she could "expedite" our cruise request. I now need to go home and look to see if I saved those documents (I usually do). However, in reviewing the other posted complaints, I now doubt that any further actions will get us a free Caribbean cruise and that we are now out of approximately $500. Since we used a US Post Office Money Order, and they requested US Passport information, can this be considered federal fraud??????

Not getting back to e-mails
My husband & I went to listen to a sales pitch on a vacation club, we were promised a free cruise for two & two free round trip airline tickets to any were in the usa. We were their aout 3.5 hours and decided not to join at this time. We were given our gifts to redeem with away we go promotions, I e-mailed them 10 time w/no answer back, I found a phone number only to keep getting "mail box full try again later". We sent a certified letter and got confirmation back, but no call or e-mail. We did not send any money because we had questions we wanted answered fisrt. I quess we will go on a cruise and pay for it, that seems the best thing to do and never go to another vacation seminar!!!

UNABLE TO CONTACT NO PHONE NUMBER AVAILABLE
Myself and my spouse went to listen to this promotion vacation club and if we had came to listen to the promotion we would recieved a free seven days cruise. All we have to pay is the taxes... We had also won the bonus prize which was two free round trip Airlines tickets to travel anywhere in the US. and again we would have to pay the taxes..

on about October 10, 2009 I have sent $498.00 towards the cruise and $100.00 towards the round trip Airlines tickets. A few weeks later we recieved a Reservation Request Form for the Cruise and a Reservation Request From for the Airfare. All requested forms was fill out with all proper dates, times and all other needed requirement in the required time limit. We have not I have not heard anything from them nor can we get in contact with them.
