Awesome Auger Reviews

It is not awesome
I wanted to get more info on the awesome auger and find out how much it would cost to get all the gadgets advertised with the product so I went to their web site. The only way to get info was to hit the order button and give them my credit card. I thought I would be able to cancel if I didn't like the item. When I found out it would cost over $70 didn't even continue. I exited the program thinking I did not finish the order process. Not getting a confirmation e-mail confirmed that for me.
Six weeks later I got the auger and attachments. I was shocked. I thought, what the heck, I would at least try it. What a joke! It was slow and wobbly and didn't work anything like the TV version.
I found the return directions and sent it back. I was credited $19.95. I called but could not get through as they do not put you on hold, but tell you to call back again. I finally found an e-mail address and e-mailed them that I did not order the items and wanted a complete refund, including the postage amount for sending it back. I didn't hear from them until I sent another e-mail threatening to contact the Consumer Protection Agency. They called and I was told that because I pressed the order button, I had ordered the product and because I did not call for a confirmation order to send it back, I would not get any more credited to my credit card. I explained that I never received a confirmation e-mail and she said not all companies do that.
So, they made over $50 on my no purchase and will probably send the same item to another person down the road. Nice business!
I urge everyone who has been ripped off to contact the Consumer Protection Agency. This is robbery!

No customer service
I tried to order the awesome auger and impulsively clicked on the $10.00 rebate. (whatever you do, don't do it!!!) I found out this was quite deceptive. It's not a rebate at all but a way to automatically sign you up for a 30 "free" trial for junk and future credit card debits that will go on indefinitely. As soon as I realized this I tried to back out, change or cancel the order. But the website won't allow it. I closed the browser and left the internet completely, hoping this would cancel everything. It didn't work. I still received an email confirmation saying the order went though but I still have no idea what my final cost is. I called the customer service number they provided to ask, but found they don't provide customer service at all. There are no live people, just a tape recording that wraps around asking you over and over if you'd like to purchase more augers. I'm totally frustrated and I haven't even received the product yet. Now I'll have to call my bank and get a stop payment on this order before they drain my account and supply me with stuff I never asked for in the first place.

Stay away
We had tried to order one of these awesome augers on June 3, 2008, their automated system was all ***p up and I could not get thru to a live person and I cancelled order on June 3 2008 via e-mail 3 different times. I saw charge pending yesterday and this time I got thru. It was useless.
Now a month later, they charge my account I finally found a live dumb *** who was a complete idiot named Donna and she could not explain why this was this charged when they had been e-mailed 6 different times saying the words in big letters cancel cancel cancel!
You do not want to do business with this company and Billy Mays needs to check what he recommends before he opens his bigass mouth!
Awesome auger and its reps are awesome ***!

A word to the wise
I saw the ad on TV and I thought I would visit the website to get a little more detail. Actually, they clearly state that the cordless drill you see in the ad is "optional", but the thing that makes me run away from ANY site like this is when they capture your credit card data BEFORE they will let you see the price.
Once I realized that I was going to give them my info before I would find out the cost for "options" and "S&H" I bailed. Based on the reviews I'm reading it seems like it was a good idea.

Awesome waste and fraud
Awesome Auger was an awesome waste and fraud.
I will call the State Attorney's office, BBB and FTC. Wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I also wished that I taped the telephone order to understand what they ordered for me. The telephone order took about 20 minutes and I should have realized that the telemarket sales was a farce. They billed me for 2 augers and the shipping charge was $57.85. This was suppose to be a $19.95 order and turned out to be $92.75. Company should be ashamed of themselves and also the TV channels that are promoting this.

Rip-off!
We ordered this from a TV Ad, operator stated how we were getting ALL these FREE products - GREAT DEAL ~ NOT! They did not state that there was separate p/h fees on EACH item. THIS IS WRONG!
Product offer $19.95 plus all these extra free items - NOT! NO MENTION OF THE TOTAL P&H FEE $36.85 Total $56.80 ~~~ on a $19.95 ad. I know that this package did not cost them $36.85 to ship. Tried calling them, got no where, no answer, nothing. There should be a law suit against them and others who do the same. TOTAL RIP OFF. We are PISSED!

Lost my money!
As stated by" BILLY MAYS "on TV !! I ordered the awesome auger "Billy Mays "Said ON TV it comes with 2 augers 1 extension, and an electric drill All for 19.99 !!! So I called up and ordered it ... cause I know" Billy Mays" wouldn't say that on TV if it wasn't true, Well here it arrived today ..and guess what ?? The drill and extension are missing .So I called up awesome auger and got some teeny bopper, she said I didn't get the drill and extension, cause I didn't authorize it, I said what the hell are you talking about, I ordered from the TV ad As "Billy Mays said 19.95 with the extension and the drill, she said no?? You didn't authorize it, I said How the hell do you figure that, I ordered it and paid the shipping, I was charged for it, but I didn't get no drill and the extension!! Finally I got fed up and told her to go fuck herself!! Hey Billy, what the fuck is going on here with the bullshit scam .I want my god dam money back!

Shut down this advertising
Worthless instrument, extremely poor customer service. This product was ordered by my senior citizen mother who truly thinks she has been scammed! The product was not what it claimed at all, the "cordless" drill gift with purchase had a power cord and the s/h was more than the product itself! The advertisement showed the user standing upright during the use of this product, but a person would have to be less than 4 feet tall to stand erect and use this auger. This type of false advertising should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Billy Mays should be shamed to endorse such a company.
