In September of 2010 I received a call from Bank of America stating that they had not received my August or Sept. payments for my home equity loan? I looked back on my electronic bank register only to see that both payments were made (on time)?
In November 2010 I then received another phone call stating that they had not received any payments Aug. thru Nov.? In speaking Maria the Bank of America agent, I explain that I would look further into and provide her and the bank with proof/confirmation of payments made.
• I looked further into. the situation only to find that Bank of America had change their address that I had been sending my electronic payments to for “4 plus years” and that the address change had went into effect in July of 2010? (Explain to me by; Bank of America service rep.).
• I then return a call to Bank of America, Maria (phone extension # 25861) and left numerous messages with out a return phone call?
• I eventually called the phone number on my Bank of America statement, explain to the customer rep. what had happened and promptly made a payment on December 6th 2010 over the phone and received a Bank of America confirmation # 61164228.
Since then I have received from my fraud protection program notices of change of my credit scores due to Bank of America complaints and derogatory statements of my finances?
On December 28th 2010 I received a call from Bank of America stating that I was now behind in my October and November payments (not Aug or Sept?) and that as of the 29th of December I will be delinquent Oct. thru Dec 2010?
• I promptly explain that I had made the payment on the 6th and give her the confirmation number only to have her explain that the payment had not gone thru, even after confirming the account and routing numbers were all correct also the Bank of America agent could not give me a reason as to why the payment did not go thru? My bank account has had a positive balance with a $1, 000.00 overdraft protection plan.
o I also explain that I had made another payment on December 20th 2010 to cover my Dec. 28th 2010 payment! Only to have the Bank of America rep. confirm the payment was received and that the Dec. 20th payment was applied to my Sept. overdue payment?
o Bank of America agent then requested I make another over the phone check payment, I explain I would go to the Bank of America’s local branch and make the payment requested on December 29th 2010 to avoid any further neglect in handling of my account
• I then request to speak to a manager; and was put on hold and eventually hung up on?
o I immediately called Bank of America back only to be told that the department was closed for the day and to call back tomorrow?
Bank of America customers service is extremely poor in their handling of my account and there “I don’t give a shit” attitude with respect of my credit or my patronage!
