My husband and I spoke with the manager at Babys r us because a competitor sent us a coupon for 10% off the rest of our baby registry and we really wanted to just do all our shopping in one location. So, she said that she would give us the same discount off the rest of our registry. So, with help of a babys r us staff member we noted that some of the things on our list was no longer available and that they had some newer items we were more interested in. We discussed this with the staff member that was helping us and she stated that it was not a problem and would go add the new items onto our registry but, we would have to wait around for a while for it to update and show up on the registry. The items that we were adding were about 30 to 50 dollars more than the items that were origionally on the registry. So, after we waited another 20 mins. or so we decided to go ahead and go through the check out because the manager was working the register and we were thinking great that we would get right through. When my husband got up to the resister the manager rudely says to him you're not getting the 10% off these items and when he began to talk with her she was rude and told him that she was not going to discuss this in front of the other customers. She completely humilliated us and wasted several hours of our time. We called corporate at babys r us who kept my husband on the phone for about an hour and a half to tell him that they would not honor the coupon at all. We couldn't believe that it did not matter how we were treated as a customer. It's not like we were just spending 100.00 our order was coming to nearly 1000.00 . I guess Babys r us is making so much money that customer service and how they treat their customers no longer matters. So, boo... to babys r us and Thank you to Target baby registry we just added the items we wanted onto Target registry and got the 10% off there and we can even continue to use the 10 % off coupon for registry items, and we did not even need to speak with a staff member nor a manager.
