I was injured on the job on 01/16/2009. I was subsequently fired and denied Workman's comp and unemployment. I am still healing from the injury and had no choice but to go back to work with limited capabilities. Before I went back to work I did hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit against my former employer. I also started the proceedings to get a loan forbearance on my home mortgage because I was unable to work and had to money for medical attention at that time. Bank of America started work on my case and required me to fill out several forms and get forms signed from my doctor, which I did several times. BOA lost forms, switched people who were working on my case and always came up with an excuse every time I called to get a status report. I did everything they asked of me and they promised if I completed everything they required it would go through. After waiting months and months and being told one lie after another they told me I did not qualify for a loan forbearance. Then they started me on a loan modification process. This whole process has lasted over a year and I don't think I'm any better off than before. I was asked to make three payments while the loan modification took place. I made all three of those payments and was notified today that BAC Home Loan Services filed to foreclosure on my home. I made all three payments before the due dates and in full. The last payment was sent on 03/26/2010 and was due on 4/1/2010. They filed the foreclosure on 3/22/2010. I have tried to get answers from BAC Home Loan Services but just keep getting the run around. President Obama promised help with our mortgages and BOA is cheating us even more. I'm going to send this same letter to the Governor's office, channel 4 in your corner and anyone else who might help...every day until someone helps like Obama promised.
