Seen Ace Bail Bonds a couple of times. Gave them my workman's compensation check for $23, 881.00. I went to jail and I am still there. They owe me a balance of $12, 000. Got a copy of the check and it was signed and cashed by them at their bank. I never signed that check. I have been trying to contact them for 2 years+ and all I've heard from them were lies. They even told me that they had the money and it got stolen from their house. I Contacted Attorney General(Mark Bennet), and he sent a investigator to see me. I was told that Linda Del Rios had part of my money. A week later her daughter Carmelita Dean sends me 2 money orders for $100 each and encloses a letter saying that she will give me weekly payments of $100. After the first $200 payments stopped. I contacted the Dept of Commerce and they started a investigation. They finally contacted Linda Del Rios 6 months later and she told them that the check was not signed by her. I was told that my case was closed and the recommend I hire a attorney or go to small claims court. I tried even making a police report, and contacting KHON 2 actionline. I don't know what else to do. I don't have any money to hire a attorney. I hear that Ace Bail Bonds has closed their business, and Linda Del Rios now works at Freedom Bail Bonds. Is there a statue of limitations? I think this company should be liable for paying me back the money they owe me. How many people out there suffered a loss like me from them? Is there any justice? Any suggestions or advice from anyone?
