When Bally's was contacted via phone, regular mail and fax, regarding a legitimate cancellation ( you can cancel if you move, and there is no gym within 40 miles of your address) their reply was that they will honor the cancellation. However, the refund was never credited to my account. Not only did they not refund the money, but now that the original contract is up they continue to charge as if there is a contract. Be careful with this gym they are thieves with whom we the people have no power over.

Awful company
I had joined this gym as I was diagnosed to be diabetic and doctor recommended me to do exercise, I am very lazy to work out so I decided to join the gym were I will be regular. I joined this gym for 1 year and here where I did the mistake. When I joined I was told to take personal instructor, I agreed and for this they told me to pay some thing extra. I was already taking my health very lightly so I decided to go for it no matter it costs a lot but I would be under perfect watch. The first day was the best I had my instructor following me and the counts of my exercise I felt it to good, but after 2 days I found that they instructor was not bothered to come forward though I had paid for it, this went on for a week and I was very disturbed so I complained to the person on the desk who insisted me to take this facility. He told me to be calm and would see to it that I was given what I had paid for, but----- no the things were same. I was very disturbed and wanted to just quit but they told that they would never give a refund I am stuck up with this gym. People go to relax and be fit; I am there just because I have paid the money. There are many in the town think before you join them.

Totally deceptive practice
My son who was just 18 signed up for this sleazy company.He thought it was month to month membership.He went through a long period of difficult times. This company came after him, demanding lot of money. It went in collection . It finally went to court which he could not go to. Now his credit report is ruined.He has judgement on his record.Is anyone out there please help him.I am in desperate need of help.His account is now with a lawyer.Thank you so very much.

breach of contract
I bought 2- 3 year plans one for my daughter and one for me and I paid all in one shot upfront, so they gave me a promotional deal that if i paid all upfront they would give me an additional year at the end of the expiration of the 3 year contract for $ 49 dollars each and now that I paid for the additional year for $49 dollars they took my money for both my daugter and myself but now they don't want to honor it they keep coming with some lame excuses like "yo were suppose to buy that extension at the time that you bought the initial contract, when in the certificate it clearly states "when your plan expires" and every time I call they give me the run around but they won't give me a refund and now they just hang up, next excuse will problably be oh the system must of hung up on you, furthermore the clab has some machines that are not working or working right, there are various shower heads that are broken and when i conplain they tell me o the customers steal them when i fact some of those showeres have been like that for a long time and besides I have not seen a customer come in with a pipe wrench to take them off, aldso the just fixed a sauna and the steam room after a long period of being broken, and they don't put paper toilet covers on the batrhoom, they just fixed the only paper towel dispenser in the bathroom, and all these things are a selling point to join a fittness club, because nobody wants to join a filthy club or a club that does not honor the contract or a club with broken down machines that don't get fixed soon( but miss a payment and see how fast they take you to collections) I like to join a class action suit against Bally's.

Bally's sux
I was injured at the gym with my "trainer" if thats what you want to call him... They did nothing but send me home, and tell me to put ice on my foot. No phone call the next day asking how I am doing... 2 weeks goes by, I don't go to the gym, my "trainer" calls me and asks me when i'm coming in... I sent the Dr note to them showing that I had a torn ligamet, and could not run for a while, and was a little annoyed woth Bally's anyway, so I cancelled.. yeah right.. they refuse to cancel my membership, so I cancelled the credit card, I keep recieving letters, and phone calls, telling me that I owe money, and they will not cancel the membership until I pay them !!! Let's not talk about how much money I paid the personal trainer who pretty much did nothing for me.
