Keeps delaying closing
I signed up for a mortgage loan through Bank of America. 1 day before closing Bank of America came back with a minor paperwork issue which delayed the closing by a week. In the meantime, I had to go back to my landlord requesting an extension on my lease, have the utilities turned back on for a week and then pay a penalty to the seller as well. As if that was not enough, 2 days before the rescheduled date for closing - Bank of America called me at 6 in the evening and told me to increase the coverage on the flood insurance (even though the existing coverage exceeded the loan amount). By then, I had already packed my stuff and had the movers coming in the next day. Despite all this Bank of America refused to apologize and suggested that we move the closing date again. Not only that - these guys were downright rude - "instead of arguing with us, you should call the insurance company right away" (as if it is my fault that they waited till 6 pm to call). I am left with no words for this organization. I would rather stab myself in the eye with a needle than go with these guys again for a mortgage loan. Stay away from the

Loan Refinance delay w/no communication
My Home at 12 Egret Ln. Aliso Viejo, CA is currently financed by Bank of America @4.75% APR 20 yr.
I applied for a refinance loan and was offered a 3.8% for a 15 year term in November early.
I did not hear anything from them till January. In between I co-signed a car loan for my nephew in Ohio. I submitted all documentation as to the payment being made by my nephew from his back and also the car being registered in Ohio.
Now when I call them they say they cannot honor the offered refinance. I payed all the processing fees etc to the loan officer after I was approved in November. Please tell me what to do and how can i resolve this.
Than you.

Misrepresentatons
If you are looking for a business bank, stay AWAY from Bank of America. There is no such thing as free banking, after 2 years they started charging me for the account, $17.00 a month, not a whole lot of money, but it's the principle of keeping your word that counts. I had a business line of credit, paid religiously on time and payments were always higher than minimum due, 2 years ago they decided to lower my credit limit in the middle of a business transaction, then 6 months later they closed the account for no reason.

I paid the line of credit off and closed the account. I should have stayed at Bank Atlantic and never switched banks. I was talked into it because my employer offered free checking with Bank of America if we had direct deposit, that account I closed too. All my accounts are now at Bank Atlantic, they keep their promises. I curse the day I left Bank Atlantic and switched to Bank of America.

Mortgage are Dis-organized
I applied for a loan modification end of 2008 due to a death in the family that caused my mortgage to fall behind for the first time in 6 years. My home was put on the foreclosure list despite the application for modication. Luckily I was able to come up with the funds needed to pay off the balance needed to reinstate the loan. The complaint I have or what pissed me off the most is that 1 year later, I get a letter from the bank, letting me know my application is denied!!! Geeee!!! I totally hate this bank!!

Ruined my credit
People be careful in dealing with Bank of America, they have ruined my credit by decreasing credit limit and reporting as if I went over my credit limit. I have never missed a beat with this account, paying twice as much of the minimum payment due. I have paid roughly $10, 000 on this account but the way they report to the credit bureau seems as if you are up to your limit due to limit reduction that is being done all over the Country. I closed this account when banks started having problems with loans and never used their services again since 2009 but they did not close the account and started reducing my credit limit reflecting on a risky loan. I will seek legal assistance from an attorney for a class action suit. If you have been done wrong on your credit due to unprofessional, oblivious, disarray conduct in part of BOA

Short Sale
Bank of America is holding onto houses that they are suppose to be selling. I predict that in a few years, it will come out that they had some kind of scam going so they could make money off the houses they had on short sale. They accepted my offer on a house early November 2010 and gave me a deadline of Jan. 21st. They wanted to move up the closing to late December but I was waiting for a settlement to come in and wouldn't be ready then. They went back to the January date. I had to scramble with the bank and paperwork to be ready to close on Jan. 21st and I was ready. Two days before the closing date, my realtor found out that BoA wiped out my file - accidently. Yeah right! All information was re-entered by the negoiator and we wait - still. My loan has expired and I'm thinking from reading all these complaints that I should just pull out of the sale. However we love this house adn I hate to admit defeat to a crook like BoA.

Its too bad that nothing can be done about this but the government already today us that we deserve being screwed when they gave this bank our hard earned tax money to bail them out. Who will be bailing us out when they manage to take all our money? The government - Yeah, right!

Scam
My husband and I are retired military. My husband is disabled due to a brain injury in Iraq. This is an account of how Bank of America uses the making home affordable program as a scam to get your home. It started when my husband had retired, his disability income had not come in yet and we were having difficulty making our monthly mortgage payments.

Though we were not behind, we talked to representatives at b of a and they suggested we apply for the making home affordable plan. For the next few months we faxed, fed ex'd, and phoned our information that they requested over 10 times. Also during that time they said I could no longer make my payments over the computer and that I would have to either mail in or phone in my payments. So each month, I would call in, ask what I needed to pay, and they would give me a figure which I would then give them my debit card info. For a few months they advised me that I needed to make trial payments which were $200 less than my regular mortgage payment. After a few months they started to inform me that I was behind. So I began to call every 2 weeks as they instructed to get a status and was told that I was behind due to them putting the partial payment into a holding account. However, when they started telling me that I was behind I started making my regular loan payment amount plus extra to make up the past due amount. Then we got a call saying that we were in foreclosure and that they could sell our home as early as the next morning. Scared I made some phone calls and got hooked up with Nova Debt. After speaking with them and having the representative from b of a on a 3 way call...we got the run around some more, they kept telling us conflicting information, but then assured me that I was not in foreclosure and that if I continued to make my regular monthly payments plus extra to chip away at the past due, I would not go into foreclosure.

Well, that was last month. As of 1/25/11 I was informed that my home had gone into foreclosure and they would not accept anything from me other than the total amount past due plus lawyer fee's and that they would have to order those figures and will fax them to me in 3 business days. So basically, after working with b of a for 1 year, calling each month, doing as they instructed, and never getting the same information twice, I am now in foreclosure and have to come up with a large sum of money next week to keep my home. This is very disturbing to me that they would treat one of our nation's disabled vets is such a dishonest manner. Keep in mind that we never missed a single months payment and only did what they instructed us to do and now they are trying to take a home away from a retired vet with a brain injury. B of A has left a really bad taste in my mouth and the fact that they are using the making home affordable plan as a front to steal from honest Americans and take their homes from them is extremely foul on so many levels. Please, email me with your comments, I would love to discuss this with someone.

ATM DEPOSIT IS NOT ACCURATE
I HAVE TO USE ATM MACHINES FOR DEPOSITS DUE TO THE TIME MY BUSINESS CLOSES. I made a deposit on 12/16/2010 of $432.00 and on 12/28/2010 a hold was placed on my account of $251.00 stating the once they balanced the atm it was short $251.00.If i was printed a receipt for $432.00 and i know i made a cash deposit for $432.00 how can someone just tell you that you didnt and take your money. The machine didnt malfunction nor did it indicate that it was an error with my transaction for me to even know if anything was wrong. Bank of america didnt send me anything in the mail notifying me that anything was wrong with my transaction on 12/16 nor that they will be withholding funds in the future. Therefore i filed a claim and was told that they could not locate the missing funds so at that time i spoke with the senior account manager Elizabeth Flattery and i asked her who insures the accuracy of their atm machines and she stated that sometimes the atm machine will give you an error message and sometimes it wont. Therefore i asked her where is the confidence for your customers that the machines are accurate. No results...DONT DO ATM DEPOSITS THEY CAN COME BACK AND BITE YOU!!!

Unprofessional
If you want to Bank at Financial Institute that will lie to you and screw you over go to Bank of America. Shady bank, Snakes!
the worst bank ever. I have been treated better by an armed robber. For 3 months I was told I was approved for refinance just to be nit picked & dragged through the mud & lied to. Every time I was told ALL IS IN ORDER & U ARE SET the next day I would be asked for another piece of meaningless information like a pay stub from the 80's or something. Then on the last day I was asked to bring a ridiculous amount 2 closing which is unacceptable when I was told from day 1 there would be no closing cost. All I can say is where is my BAIL OUT! hell the banks got theirs. I guess that's why it's bank of AMERICA. Yea AMERICA isn't going to help anyone who is working for a better future neither is Bank of F*cking America.
