Unbelievable experience
Bank of America needs to change the phone system. They do everything they can so that you cannot speak to a human. I have spent over 6 weeks and spent several days at the bank, had to hire an attorney for them to authorize my power of attorney for my mother. God forbid they actually hire someone over the age of 30 with banking experience! I jumped through hoop after hoop trying to get someone to help me. I DO NOT recommend that you use BOA. They really do not have time for you or your money.

Loan modification
Bank of America agreed and promised to a loan modification on our home FOUR months ago. We keep making our payments on time---the old higher payment that is---and they will NOT complete the loan paper work. When we call Bank of America we are given the run around---they have not even assigned us a representative for contact purposes!! Bank of America is evil!!
Bank of America had no problem in accepting the bail-out money from the U.S. government that they used to increase their pay bonuses!!!
We have been ripped off by this corporation called Bank of America!!! Now I know it is best to use small regional banks and credit unions---smaller fees, good customer service, and the very same FDIC insurance that big banks boost about.
I may have been a fool once...but never twice. Do the same thing and help your county out by using small local institutions...and not the "big" lying greedy companies.

NFS charges
This banks steals hard earn money. ie I had 175.00 and some change in my account, there was 3 little pending charges leaving 145.00 and some change, that night the 3 little charges should have cleared but a check for 165.00 came in so Bank of America choose to pay the check first causing 3 NFS charges instead of 1 NFS charge.
Just read that there was a class action lawsuit regarding this kind of stuff with Bank of America. but it ended back in May of 2009 but obviously it hasn't stopped them. There still robbing there customers.
I have also been reading on Bank of America complaint this happens quite a bit. Same thing with me not knowing where to turn to get this kind of business stopped.
Can you do anything about

lies and scams
I won't go on here about my problems with this screwball of a scam job bank called bank of america as it appears it is not new news what complete liars and shiesters this company is and how they have not only ripped off the taxpayers in borrowed tax money, but they have no problem turning around and doing it on an individual basis directly.
do NOT trust a single word they tell you if you are late and behind on your mortgage and/or credit cards and you make solid payment arrangements with them to get current again. They will turn around and stab you in the back when you go in to make your scheduled payment on time and tell you that your payment arrangement was never really "official" to begin with and we are very sorry your home has now gone into foreclosure (even after accepting prior payments in agreement to the scheduled payment arrangements).. BUT(this is the real kicker), they tell you, the good news is we can reinstate your mortgage for a fee - we won't tell you what that is right now - you simply must reach our office in 5 days max to find out what your "fee" will be once we decide.
I rue the day I ever ever got a mortgage through these sleaze balls... and I hope they end up doing themselves in!
spread the word as far as you can to STAY AWAY, RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION AS FAST AS YOU CAN -
FROM BANK OF AMERICA!

Reference Letter
See if you can understand this...We are adopting a child and one of the many things we need is a letter on letterhead from our bank simply stating that our accounts are in "good standing", signed and notorized. That's it! They said that they CAN"T do that. They told me that they can not give me anything on letterhead??? We have been banking there for 15 or more years, they hold our mortgage AND just lent us $50, 000.00 to adopt but they can't give us a letter that simple. They give their employees $8, 000. to help with the cost of adoption, they have adoption loans to help with the cost of adoption but they can't give a bank customer a letter stating that their accounts are in good standing. I guess I need to switch banks!!

excesive interest rates
The interest rates of my credit Card were raised from 9% to 28% because I was 1 day late on my payments. I've been paying on time for 1 year and a half. The bank refuses to reduce the interests even though I reduced the debt in half.

Horrible Customer Service
Today, I went to the Bank of America to get a simple Cashier's Check. I was assisted by Ann Marie Winston, the Banking Center Manager. Their service was unacceptable.
After getting to the window, I had to wait an additional hour, due to apparent "printer" problems.
The Bank has a glamorous marketing appeal, but when you get to an actual bank, you are quite disappointed.
Inside, you find used, out dated equipment. For example, to print my check, they used an archaic dot matrix printers. This particular unit was on the fritz for an entire hour. The bank only had one printer.
The employees have no knowledge of anything, and are absolutely powerless to provide an answer to any question, even somewhat complex. To get assistance, you have to dial the banks 800 number.
In summary: horrible customer service, terrible banking centers, useless employees.

Completely disgusting uncivilized customer service
I have a credit card that was previously MBNA then transferred over to BofA the BofA bought them out. I have had numerous problems with the new BofA website, but it wasn't until I called into customer service to try and figure out what was wrong, that the real horror began. For the record, I'm a pretty laid back person, and I never raised my voice during this entire exchange. When the tech on the other end couldn't figure out what was wrong, I asked to talk to someone else. I was then told I didn't need to do talk to someone else because nothing was wrong. I had to ask twice and then demand (which is something I rarely have had to do the 15+ years I've been dealing with customer service reps) that I be transferred, which the tech finally did with very ill-grace, but not before trying to argue with me in a raised voice about whether I needed to be transferred. I spent over 30 minutes on hold waiting for a manager and then found out that the manger had no technical skills and couldn't help me. I called back the next day during business hours thinking that the day crew might be better. Not by much, the tech still wasn't able to help me but at least he transferred me to a manager on the first request. After another interminable wait, the day manager was terrible, and if I had his name, I would print it here just to embarass him thoroughly. Not only did he cut me off and talk over me after every sentence I started, but he shouted so loud at one point that I had to hold the phone away from my ear. Completely disgusting uncivilized customer service. I've already closed my account with them and moved to another credit card company over the issue. And I was a loyal customer for over 10 years.

loan modification
Bank of America has been giving me the run around since August of 2009 about my loan modification, no one seems to know where my papers are or what my status is, after sending them W2, letter of hardship and everything else they needed. Some under writer named Jenny Palmer is suppose to be getting back to me and never does, They have been telling me to call back, once when I called they told me I didn't qualify now it's a new story, can't get any answers from these guys and they are not following any government program for modifications, I need real help is there any real help against BOA?

Froze my business accounts
I opened a business account on line with bank of america, I was approved. I had to go into the bank for a signiture card but when I went to with draw funds from my account they said I was not on the account and it was owned by a Gloria, my name is Grace. After 3 hours we got that fixed so I thought. 2 weeks later charges started to hit my account so I contacted the bank, spent another 3 hours there to close the one account and open a new one. I was sitting there when the manager called chex-systems and got the approval. Risk department took over the old account and then froze both accounts but only after the put that I owe them over $800, 000 on each account. I was told it was because I was on chex-systems, but my business is not. Bank of American took these actions against me after I had faxed the new account to my depositors and I had a positive balance in the account. But I can not get any money out and they said they would mail me a paper check after January 4th 2010. How was it I could open 2 accounts and be over 1 million in dept in 48 hours but not have any new purchases or have written any check on either account. I have contact an criminal advicate to see what I can do, If you have a good law firm and would like to see about hadling this case email me with your number, I will call you back.
