Overdrsaft
I have a mortgage with Bank of America and have always try to keep ahead with my mortgage payments. I have made up to five months payment in advance. On three occassions Bank of America has applied extra payments to the principal and indicated that my payments were late and charged me late fees. I have spoken with the bank and always manage to get it clear up. Today, December 9, 2009 I noticed a late payment fee deducted from my checking account with the December payment outstanding.
Upon speaking with the CSR she tried to argue with me that December is late because the money recieved for December was applied to November. However, after providing facts about payments she said that the previous payments recieved were applied to the principal. She said that those payments and all charges reversed.

I have been banking with said Bank for a number of years and all my accounts are with them. I think that Bank of America needs to train their account reps to verify the history of an account before they apply monies recieved where they think it should go over where it should be applied. As someone, who handles hundreds of accounts in a day
it should be standard procedure to research an account before making a decision. There is no clauses in my mortgage contract that I am not allow to make future payments. Their banking practices need to be reviewed and the competence of their accounts reps should be evaluated.

Overdraft Charges
My husband opened an account in FL, He told the rep. that he wanted it to be set up so both accounts could be used with the same card, we hadn't used the FL account until this pass weekend with him going by her word that when he made a purchase with his card the money would come out of the account with the money in it to cover the purchase, well it didn't work that way, the money came out of the account with the least amount of money, which caused overdraft charges on the other account even though he was told the two accounts would be attached. I have talked to 6 customer service people and a manager on their 800 number to get nothing but the run around and now it has to go back to the rep. that opened the account to try and remember the transaction, of course she is going to say she never told him that because it will look bad on her, but he knows what he was told..so does this bank care about us little people to put back the $175.00 we will see.

Arrogant and Unprofessional

Incident = A branch in Bothell, Washington has a manager (Jay)that is flippant,
arrogant, and doesn't care about you. Everytime I go in the branch he tries to
stuff his new ATM down my throat...which doesn't take cash well it spits it
back out!! He only wants to talk to you if you DONT have a problem and when you
do...well don't bother him...and it all your fault...Then when you enter the
bank he says he's "Living the Dream." And then he had the audacity to ask me if I'm a God-fearing person.
Damage Resulting = Will not go into that branch ever again.

Fraudulent bank
If you have a Bank of America Credit card at a low interest rate, do not miss a payment or they will raise your interest rate to 32 percent for the next 6 months before they will drop the interest rate in the slightest. Do like we did, pay them off and cance your credit card. This is the only way they will get the message that they cannot treat people this way with out repercussion. I believe a class action law suit would be in order if enough people experience this tradgedy as we did.

Privacy assist program
The customer care of BOA is far below the standards. This is the worst customer care to which I have spoken to in recent times. I tried to register into privacy assist program of BOA to monitor my cards. I provided all the information to the rep over the phone. I did not receive any information from them after that. Now, when i contact the customer care through email (since I am not getting proper answer through phone), they say that is not possible. I have to contact privacy assist program (only through phone) and they won't even bother to answer any of my questions. I spent about an hour to write an email to them. They just replied by copying and pasting some crap about the privacy assist program which did not answer anything.
I spend so many $$$ for the accounts and this kind of customer care is not at all expected.
I will soon change to Chase or WF and even ask my friends to do that.

ALTERED PURCHASES FOR MORE OVERDRAFT FEES
BANK OF AMERICA altered and switched around my purchases especially after the weekend they sort out from the higher number to the smallest number of your purchases so they can charge you as many overdraft as possible. Even if I had a receipt that showed I still have money the next day I had 9 overdrafts, and they said whatever showed in the computer was right. I tried to pay some and used my son's money he sold from his book, hoping that they wont charged me more but still after couple days they charged me again for extended overdraft fees another $35.00 cause I cannot pay the all amount that they maked up. They cannot be trusted they are fraud, rip off and their name Bank of america don't fit the name of our country. I suggest everyone not to use this bank especially for low income family like me.

Constant changes in their fees and services
It is very sad to see that Banking and insurance has become a wile place for their customer, and for citizens to do business. This large entity’s and industries present a constant threat to our democracy and our way of life.

Bank of America by far has been bulling, reaping, and plundering customers like me with their constant changes, on fees and services. Their mistakes are very expensive to all their customers, who have no protection from any national agency or entity. With almost 9 million people out work today in our nation, I can’t believe that our government is not regulating these industries that gave our nation and the world, the major global depression we are in today.
I had several accounts with this bank, checking’s, savings, credit card, mortgage, CD’s, etc, etc…. for many years, and the feeling that I’m living today, is that they sack the life savings out me.

Gold option Fixed rate Loan
Will someone be kind enough to send me the original Gold option Agreement? I seem to have misplaced mine. I took out a Gold option loan and the agreement was for a fixed rate loan to be paid off within 5 years. They changed the loan to a revolving variable rate account. Credit Card
I read an article yesterday how banks are trying to hurry and charge fees before the new federal is in place. The article was 100% right, especially with BANK OF AMERICA. Recently the bank lowered my credit limit, when called they wouldn't raise it because I was too close to my limit. Well, yeah you dummy you dropped my limit now I am. Now, to top it off I have an overage fee of $39 added to my account because the finance charges made me go over my balance. They want to do nothing to help me, it's like they want to see their customers fail. Maybe since they did it makes them feel better to watch others fall. Needless to say I am paying off the card an closing out my account. I will never speak highly of BOA again, I have constantly gotten screwed by their dirty business. Watch out for your money, I wouldn't trust them.
