Awful bank
I have a short complaint about Bank One services. My aunt husband died and she received a check for $34, 000.00. We went into Bank One to open some account to store the money. They told us what was required to open account, unfortunately Bank One requires two pieces of ID and she only had one pieces. The Bank receptionist and Bankers got so caught up in two forms of ID and saying NO! NO! we cannot help you, that they never go around to asking us what kind of account we needed, just NO.
Therefore, they never realize they were turning away from a customer with a huge check. We went to Bank of America who was so helpful and friendly and open an account with the approval of the district manager.

Chase / Auto leasing
I just ended a 4 year lease with Bank One / Chase for a 2002 Suzuki XL7.
This was my 4th lease on a car and it was the WORST.
Bank One did not call nor mail me any info when the lease was up. I figured it was up at the end of July.
I called Bank One on July 3. They said it was up on July 1. I said no one called nor mailed me anything.
They said, well, you should have known. Now I owe some more fee’s because it wasn’t returned on time.
I said OK, where do I return it. They said any Suzuki Dealer can take it. I called the closest Suzuki Dealer.
They said no, they can’t take it. Called Bank One back, they said OK, we’ll come pick it up.
I asked if they would inspect it and give me some paper work when they picked it up. They said “NO”.
They said I should take a bunch of pictures of the car before they take it back. Then 1-2 months later I will get a final bill.
A day later my sister-in-law says she wants to buy the car for the residual value. So I call Bank One.
They say they can only sell the car to me, not my sister-in-law. Plus, I owe fee’s, an extra payment, etc ….
So I can buy it and turn around and sell it to my sister-in-law. Gee, I guess we will both have to pay sales tax ?
Thank You Bank One / Chase. You stink. I will NEVER use a Bank One / Chase for anything.
No loans, no credit cards, I won’t even use one of their ATM’s …..
