Credit card rip off through Barclays
THE JUNIPER CARD AND BARCLAYS BANK IS A FINANCIAL SCAM!
I was checking out a new computer at the Santa Monica APPLE store and an employee said if I filled out a form, that I might be eligible for immediate credit with the Juniper Card with terms of 0% for 1 year. Because of my excellent credit rating, I was approved for over $1, 000 and I went home to further research their products, I then received a call that my dad had died of a heart attack and I left immediately. While out of state for almost a month, handling all the funeral arrangements and the estate business, my bills were being paid by auto-debit. When I returned to CA, I used the Juniper card and I saw on their first statement that my interest rate jumped from 0% for one year, to 29.99%!
When I called, the people at Juniper and Barclays Bank of Delaware, I waited over 15 minutes for an agent and everyone I spoke with was unbelievably rude. The supervisor said the reason the interest went up 30% was because I didn't use the Juniper card at an Apple store within 30 days! I used it 32 days later. The Apple employees explained none of this to me at either time! Before using the Juniper card, I browsed the terms and information but missed a “see below” fine print line. There is a (very small and hidden) sentence in the contract that states, if you don't use the Juniper card by Barclays Bank of Delaware in 30 days, the interest goes from 0% for a year to 29.99%. Even though I spent less than the credit limit, the interest put me over the limit! I explained the situation, and no one at BARCLAYS BANK or JUNIPER was helpful, friendly or the least bit understanding. Not only would they would not lower the interest rate, or the over limit fee, even for as a gesture of good will, they charged me a $39 late fee because while I had been on the phone with them, because I missed the payment cutoff time by 45 minutes EST! I highly suggest that you never use Barclays Bank OR Juniper! I have the feeling they may be up for a class action suit, if we really do see reform as promised, after the recent elections. I am wondering if this is one of the banks we bailed out!
To Juniper and Barclays Bank, any means, including, a small oversight from grieving the death of a parent is another way to make more money.

Scam and cheating
I had my LLBean Visa a long time and then when they switched to Barclays I was declined. I waited five weeks for my Barclays card and they never sent me a letter of decline. I was promised that I would get the card in two weeks. I am angry. They would not give me reasons why I was declined. That worries me because I gave Barclays employees all kinds of personal info. That makes me wonder what the status of all the banking institutions are if a bank like Barclays are rejecting people like me. Sad... sad... Oh well!

atm fraud
Dear sir/madam
I am banking with Barclays bank and on the 7th of September my account was illegally used, the amount of 5241dirhams was withdrawn in the Filipinos, I realized this on the 11th and contacted the bank the consultant then said to me that I will receive a call back from the bank within 24-48hrs after submitting a claim form witch I submitted on the same day. I then waited till Sunday the 14th and did not hear from them I then contacted the bank and was told that this is not their problem and will be called within 180 days, I explained to them that this is my salary account and that this is my living money, they told me there is nothing they can do and that this is the bank policy I feel this not to be appropriate as I trusted the bank with my details and expected them to be using the best technology to protect us from such crimes. I do not feel that this is my problem as im still in position of my only card supplied by the bank, is there something I can do about this legally and how do I go about it.

Penalty charges on payment
After making payment of my bill Rs. 168/- of last month they are charging me with Penalty charge of Rs. 500/-. Inspite of many request emails and calls no one is bother to look into the matter and listen, no reply and revert back. This month in new bill they charged me double penalty charges Rs. 1120/- with service tax for not paying last penalty bill. No one is replying on this.

delay in payment of employes
I am the employe of your company working the Kanjurmarg branch under Mr.Edward Parera's management since past two months we new 20 agents did not received our salary.Plz try to pay our salary as soon as possible, we have the record of all the customer's to whom we have sold the cards we will screw your company by our way by giveing the calls to those customers and informing them that your company is frauds and will be closeing very soon.You have already terminated two girls without paying them thier dues so we cannot trust you any more.Dont force us to register the complaint in the head branch of U.K for your kind information.

Liars
While on a business trip I was approached by a young fellow touting a free one way fare on Airtran for just taking out an Airtran card. He assured me no strings attached. He asked me if I wanted to add a magazine subscription and I said absolutely not.
Not only did I not get my free air fare but the little *** included a mag subscription to a sports magazine. I called Airtran and raised holy cane and got the free trip but Barclay people say I have to write a letter disputing the magazine charge. I told the rep I was not spending a minute more of my time on this matter and to have a supervisor call me. This is a good potential for a class action as I know others were lied to if I was.

Be careful
The Barclays card customer reps have given me nightmares for the last two months. I have failed to understand the whole reason of a customer care centre for Barclays card India.
The whole issue started when I saw a late payment fees being charged against my card even though I had dropped my cheque for the due amount well within the due date. I had a horrible time making the customer representative understand the situation. After a dozen number of calls, the only response I got was they have no authority to reverse my late payment fees. I would like to warn all Barclays card user to be utterly cautious of this "Barclays Card».

Customer reps are terrible
After spending approximately 1 hour on the phone with customer reps who do not speak English well or were coached in how to not understand plain English I am completely mystified. All I wanted to do was to add my wife's account to the same internet payment system as I have for my two other accounts. This process apparently blew the reps mind. The first rep tried to tell me that I had to change the pay-or account facility. The second rep directed me to the web site twice and said that I had to set up a new account. The web site failed to accept the new information and then referred me back to the help line.
Suggestion for Barclays-use American/English speaking reps for American customers. The two dollars an hour more you would pay an American rep would result in a lot less pissed off customers and certainly would speed up the resolution of similar problem.
I w will avoid using this card from now on.

Repeated calls
I received a call at 12:13 pm from a person called "Priya" who represented that she was calling from Barclays Bank regarding a credit card offer. I politely informed her that i would not be interested, asked her not to call me again and cut the call. Surprisingly, i received a call from the same number again at 12:16 pm asking me if i was interested in Barclays Bank credit card. The person speaking was "Priya" again. When i informed her that she had called me a while back and that she should not be calling me again, she aske dme my name and hung the call without even apologizing.
Thereafter, i called the number back (+91 80 4071 1206) and spoke to her. She was not even apologetic then. I asked her to transfer the call to her senior. I was transferred to a lady called "Kala". I asked her the details of the company she was calling from and i told her that i propose to file a complaint. She informed that she had joined only a few days back and dint know the company she was working for!!! She was quite rude and cut the call without even hearing me out.
Thereafter, i called 3-4 times and they kept cutting my call and after 2-3 calls they kept the phone off the receiver and i kept getting the busy message. I called after 10 mins and spoke to another lady and explained what happened. She informed me that they were calling on behalf of Barclays Bank and that the agent they worked for was "Shraya Enterprises".
I would like to lodge a complaint against Barclays Bank and the agent for having called me more than once in a span of 3 mins and being extremely rude. Also, the ladies who called me dint even know good English and requested me to speak in Kannada after having called me to speak about the credit card in English.

persional loan/ too much rate of intrests and amonut

I applied and submitted my document for persional loan in barclays bank in chennai.
my requirement amount is one lacs.
they told 20% rate of intest for 48 months. i accepeted and i gave 9 cheques for my PL.
Yesterday i got a call from mumbai(022-40941400) loan amount Sanctioned only 55 thousands rate of intrest 22% for 48 months. i am confusing for this matter.But i gave 9 cheques for one lac amounts.
after that i called to chennai pl division's people.they are not response my calls.
kindly take the action for my request.
