A salesperson from this company name Natasha (she won't reveal her last name) called-called my mother and sold her a very expensive mattress for $1197 (+delivery charge). My mother is a senior citizen living in a studio apartment, and she already has a bed and a couch in that apartment. There is absolutely no place to put another bed. Additionally, the mattress turned out to be too long and does not fit in a typical bed frame. It it also very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. My mother has osteoporosis and needs a comfortable mattress.
My mother tried calling the salesperson to return the mattress. And I called different people (including managers) at Bauer Comfort USA. No one would allow her to return the mattress.
Some laws should be put in effect to force companies to take back unnecessary items that they sell to senior citizens over the phone. Could you please help me and suggest the next steps?
Thanks,
Anna
