The email below, is the response received after voicing my disgust in the owner confirming an appointment and not attending it. I personally think it is common courtesy to inform any client that someone else will be available to assist in the event that whomever is not available to attend. I requested that instead of liaising with Enrico that I have further discussions with Juan, I have however been informed that I should not deal with anyone from Bayete Spa. I think that the response below is uncalled for and distasteful.
Hi Kelly
Thank you for the e-mail.
We currently average approx. 20 viewings a weekend – I have 8 staff members that can show people around. They all know that whoever is on duty should be doing this.
Furthermore I personally answer an average of 120 e-mails a day – makes it very difficult for me to even know who you are let alone apologise. I (the owner) start building relations with the Bridal couples once they have booked. I wish I could see every client and do everything around here but unfortunately that is impossible. Unfortunately people with day jobs out there do not understand what it means to run their own businesses and to be responsible for a 120 families. I can tell you it takes approx 400 hours of work a months from my side, a lot of worries and very little to see of my family let alone you.
Professionalism? We are currently the number one spa in the country and have just been nominated for the world spa awards. This did not happen with us being unprofessional. I have hosted more than 200 weddings without a single problem – I have the phone number of all 200 Bridal couples to confirm this. Just this past weekend my staff booked 4 weddings – no complaints from them about me being unprofessional (followed exactly the same steps as you did to come and view)
I would rather you not have any further engagements with either myself or my staff.
Kind regards,
Enrico Maritz
