UGG Boot Scam
Ordered 2 pairs discounted on 12/19 for Christmas to be shipped to PA for my mother & lil' sis, & did this through Google checkout. Received order confirmation through google & notice my credit card was charged on 12/20 (also notified through google). No shipment confirmation. Clicked on the live help button on the site & they said my order should arrived the first few days in Jan due to holiday back up. The order did not arrive. No phone number on website, although it claims to be based in Texas. I wrote numerous times through the google confirmation & also to their site directed to get the status of my order, since it was not received. Then my credit card company calls me to say my credit card number was stolen online & that they cancelled my credit card & are sending me a new one. So again, I attempt to contact bayugg & no response. I finally send to google to report them, & google investigated them & are no longer letting the site use google check out. I emailed bay ugg for the 7th time, & they responded "i we are working on you order". Very unprofessional response, & sounded like a 2 year old was writing to me. Today I received my credit card bill, & I contacted my credit card company, b/c I noticed some of the charges were still on the statement. My card company said that there is a scam going around regarding discounted ugg boots online. (Why is this not on the news??) Websites are charging from china, & have no contact phone number, or address on their website. The texas address was a fake billing office. My credit card company warned that if & when people actually get their order they are fake boots (even though websites claim authentic). They instructed me to refuse the package if it arrives, since the return address is likely to be fake. Do not order ugg boots online unless they are from a department store, or the offical ugg boot australia. Else you may get fake boots or find someone in china went on a shopping spree with your credit card!!
