Unable to return or exchange bag bought by minor
My daughter purchased a handbag at the BCBG store yesterday and tried to either return or exchange it. She was surrounded by the three attendants there who ganged up on her and used abusive scare tactics to frighten her. When she called me, I immediately called my personal shopper from Nordstrom's and a friend to go with her. They were extremely rude and told them she should not shop there. On the day of the purchase, I asked the price of the item and the sales person told us that the price was inside. My daughter was not sure if this was exactly what she really wanted, I asked if this was on sale the reply was no and I said " good we can try to see if it would match and if it does not, then we can return it. The sales person smiled and walked away and we continued looking around. We were never told that any full price merchandise bought at any BCBG store is not returnable. I would not have allowed her to spend her small salary earned in the summer on such an expensive bag that we were unsure of it matching. Knowing this the sales person should have said something because I made sure to say that we would have to return it, if it does not match. I am appalled that BCBG would not advise us of their policy. We were not even allowed in the back where they checked out customers due to the doorway that prevents customers entering. This is unacceptable behavior from a well established company. No one should gang up on minors!!! And then lie that they have posted signs at the register. No one is able to go to the register because it is prohibited. We understand that having the register in that back room prevents crime, but I consider it a crime to not tell us that their is a no return policy on anything full or sale price knowing that we were unsure of the color matching and would need to return it if it is not similar.
