I am furious!! On thrusday i recieved a call from a woman that did not speak great english that immediately started rambling on saying to me all of my personal information and asking me to verify. I had recieved the call at about 4:30 pm. Since the only snidbits of information that i could understand was subpeona and an affadavit I immediately asked for a supervisor. This "supervisor" with a name of Harry Furguson got on the phone and also had a very thick indian accent but was somewhat understandable. He then proceeded to inform me that someone would arrive at my residence at 10:30 the next morning and I would then have court at 1:00 that same day. He said that the so called "people" that were going to come to my house were going to take me in handcuffs to the court room themselves. I am twenty and really dont know much about anything like this so immediately I started to panic, making sure that i was writing down everything he was saying. He said that i was being charged with three federal charges and if I failed to show up for court a warrant would be sent out for my arrest. I kept trying to tell him that this was obviously identity theft and i had no idea what he was talking about. He refused to listen and just kept saying that he was simply trying to do his job. He gave me two options. Either i could settle it over the phone by giving him my credit card number (which he already had and had "verified" earlier in the conversation but at the time i was too baffled and confused to put two and two together) or i could try and fight it and i would definately lose and be sent to jail. Scared from his threats I obviously said that i was going to fight it and for him to send the subpeona and i would be there waiting for it. Immediately after i called a friend that is very knowledgeable with the law and she recommended that i immediately file a police report and start a paper record of what was happening. Mind you this is 5:00 pm. I called the local police station and informed them of what was going on. While i was on the phone the police officer asked me to hold so that he could try and call the number. When i got back from the hold the officer had informed me that he called the phone number and this "Harry Furguson" charachter answered. The officer identified himself as police and he was immediately put on hold and disconnected. The officer told me that this was most likely a scam and he would write up a report. He told me to put a hold on all of my bank accounts. Since we were both not sure of what this really was he told me to wait at my house and call my townships dispatch at 10:15 am and they would send an officer to sit nearby my house just in case these charachters showed up. Of course they did not as soon as they knew that the police were involved. So even then i was still on the fence if it was a scam or not. Scam or not however i was still concerned that some random person knew all of my most personal information. Since the number that this man had given me was now not connected i decided to still put a freeze on all of my accounts and wait for another call. Well today was that day that i got the call and i have never been so repulsed and freaked out in my entire life. This time however this person identified himself as Officer David Hunt with the BCI Law Firm in New York and immediately started rambling off all of my personal information in a very thick indian accent. However this time (now that i had more attitude) he started being extreemly rude and perverted. He would not let me speak and said that i was going to recieve a subpeona the next day and the same old blah blah blah. At this time i was with my friend who i had told about this the first time. She identified herself and started demanding that if he was real that he immediately fax over any type of documentation that he had on this so called "case". Now intimidated the man started becoming more and more rude with my friend. We both then knew at this time that it was all a scam and hung up the phone. We immediately went to Google and typed in BCI lawfirm and all of this information came up. Then this "lawfirm" immediately kept calling back over and over on an unknown number. After pure aggravation I answered and informed them that i knew they were a scam and to please stop calling. This is where the conversation turned for the worse. After hanging up the phone i just kept getting call after call. Now that i had wasted a half a week worrying that someone had stoled my identity and that at 20 years old i was goimg to be charged with federal charges i was at my ropes end. These random and unknown numbers kept calling and calling that i finally answered the phone and thought i would have a little fun with the a**holes. I told them that i was not scared of them and that i knew they were and scam and to find somebody else to mess with and that i had had enough. At this point i was called a little f***ing b**** and a c*** and then so extreeemly sexually harrased that if i posted on here what was said it would probably be removed immediately. I am scared, irate and have never been that completely disgusted with anything in my whole entire life. So help me God if these people call back again i dont think that i will be able to control myself. I may be young but believe you me i will get the money back that was taken out of my account and these people will be tracked down and caught either by yours truley or by the FBI who will be contacted immediately. I dont know how these cites work but if anyone has any ideas on how to start pursing these people i guess post it under my page? i have no idea. Not to be racist but no wonder why that race has the reputation that they do.
