Bought the Groupon last year for my boyfriend’s birthday ($169.) He visited their website, picked a date in March and scheduled his racing experience. He also booked a hotel room near that raceway. Just prior to leaving, they emailed and cancelled the event stating that there were complaints that a few of the cars were not calibrated or did not run equally to the other cars, thereby putting some racers at a disadvantage. He called that speedway at the time and they said that they were “no longer affiliated with beastockcardriver.” Anyway, he rescheduled for today, June 13th, he TOOK A DAY OFF WORK, and at 9:35 a.m., less than an hour and a half before his time to arrive, and just before he got ready to leave, he received ANOTHER CANCELLATION EMAIL. This time the excuse was that “the entire fleet” had to be sent back to (another state) for safety concerns earlier this week. Really? And you didn’t know that they wouldn’t return longer than 85 minutes before hand? I did call Groupon today and they are (hopefully) refunding my money. However, in the meantime, my bank card was suspended due to fraudulent activity 2 months ago. Here’s hoping the refund goes through to my bank account.
