Failure of new patio construction
We spent thousands of dollars on a new Beautistone patio less than two years ago. Within weeks of its installation, we started having problems which escalated last summer. Pieces of patio were breaking off; the sealant seemed to fail as strange "bleach" spots appeared all over the patio; and now we have a sticky surface on the patio which results in pieces of rock & epoxy sticking to our bare feet and literally coming undone. Their local repairman came out numerous times (always with a significant delay before he could "fit" us into his schedule) & made all kinds of excuses: air pollution, the fact we have a pool (although their advertising brochures show Beautistone installed around pools & boasts of its benefits, plus our problems also appeared on an upper patio area which does not have a pool); acid rain even as flowers dried out because the ground was parched. Nothing made sense, & at the end of last year's season, the workmen admitted they would have to come out this summer & do further work. Lo and behold, Beautistone is no longer in Michigan, and efforts to get return phone calls and e-mails from their corporate office in Youngstown, OH, have been unsuccessful. We feel totally "had."

Fraud and scam
I would like to apologize to all the customers I sold Beautistone products. I had no idea what the company was really like. I only worked with Beautistone for four months and received no training. I had no knowledge of all the past customers with product problems that received no help. I spoke with quite a few that never even got a call back for service? If you are thinking of a sales career with Beautistone beware that you will not receive all your commissions and your last month of expense reimbursement will not be paid.
Once they made the decision that the Detroit market was no longer profitable they stopped all mailings and advertisements and stopped paying me. They strung me out for a month giving me an appointment here and there till they stopped getting call ins, then they let me go. When I asked for my final payment of close to $10, 000. they said I owed them $8, 000.
If you are considering having Beautistone do work for you, especially in Michigan... Don't do it. There are plenty of good company's out there that would love your business and stand behind their product. This company will not!
