shipping delayed
I went to the Bed Bath and Beyond store in Cedar Park for an item that was advertised in the Sunday paper. They did not have the item in that store, but offered to get it online for me and ship it free. I was assured that I would receive it in eight days. It was not even shipped for eight days. It is now twelve days later and I haven't seen my package and FedEx doesn't even recognize the tracking number they submitted to me. I could have driven about fifteen minutes to another location and purchased the product. I chose the online option because I despise driving in heavy traffic. Never again will I darken their door as I also despise being deceived more than I despise heavy traffic. I hope the product (exercise equipment for the pool) is better than the service or it will be headed back.

Beware
I recently bought a Ninja 1000 blender from Bed Bath & Beyond.. I used it to make a smoothie;. First I crushed ice with which the blender did a very good job, then I added the rest of the ingredients:. After pouring it in my daughter's glass, she spitted out something'. It was a 1 cm long by 4 mm wide piece of plastic in the shape of a small dagger|. We were horrified to think that she could have swallowed that, . It turns out that the inner section from the top of the blender seems to have chipped off! It almost seems that someone chiseled the inside.. I took pictures of everything and obviously I'm planning to return it ASAP.

Bad service
Worst managerial staff ever in triangle mall in raleigh, nc. They did not follow tornado drill training in the April 2011 raleigh nc tornado. A woman from Sanford told me that the same tornado flattened buildings and it was headed towards us. The managers were outside taking pictures of debris on their phones and encouraged others outside to witness lightening and debris. The manager was suppose to make an announcement, he never did. Instead two people walked out the door minutes before the storm hit. The manager never took the employees off their registers..they were 10 feet from glass windows and customers were right behind them..hmmn let me see 165 mph winds and glass windows..thats not going to stop a tree or car from coming into the store and killing people.The manager had no idea that a heart patient and a bunch of people were in the bathroom with a flashlight and chairs that I brought to them. One employee, not a manger, helped out by bringing water and a radio. What were these managers thinking?!? Their immaturity and stupidity could have gotten people killed.

Rebates
I bought two products for Xmas gifts at Bed Bath and Beyond and sent in the paperwork for my $50.00 rebate on each product. A few weeks later I received a notice from the Rebate Center that one of the rebates would not be honored due to lack of proof. I got a hold of a rep at the Rebate Service Center who figured out that it was their mistake and said that the problem was remedied and that I would be indeed receiving both of my rebate checks. Fast forward a month - I had received one check but not the other but continued to wait it out to be sure that they had probably screwed up again. I called the "SERVICE" number again at the Rebate "SERVICE" Center only to find that there was now - no way - on God's green earth that I was ever going to speak to a rep again. I went to the Rebate site but could only "chat" with a rep. The story was too long and convoluted for a chat - I asked to "SPEAK" with a rep but was told to call the "SERVICE" number. I explained to two different "chat" reps that the number just offers recordings and then hangs up. They just kept referring me back to the bogus "SERVICE" number. I instead drove to the store and the manager there honored the rebate as I had kept all of my paperwork regarding it. MY time - my gas money - my frustration. How simple it could have all been if Bed bath and Beyond cared about customer service.
I get that "chat" reps are less expensive for companies and I do a lot of business online for that reason too - but when someone calls my company to "SPEAK" w/someone regarding "CUSTOMER SERVICE" - you better bet they speak to someone! Bed Bath and Beyond - you saved a few bucks on a phone call - but trust me - you lost a customer in the process! If you can't properly service your customers - you don't deserve them...
P.S. If the other check does arrive - I am giving it to my attorney to put into an escrow account. Let's see Bed Bath and Beyond work as hard as I did - to obtain what at that point - will be rightfully theirs. Here is clue Bed Bath and Beyond - if you call - enjoy the recordings.
