Hello!
I’m the BEHR paint quality victim.
I and my husband bought 4 gallons of BEHR ultra plus exterior paint. I painted house walls by myself. After I put 2 coats on the walls and began the third one, we finally realized that this paint is not going to cover our old color at all. My husband invited an experienced professional painter for a consultation. He said that BEHR paint has a horrible quality and it will not cover our walls even if I’ll put 20 coats.
We went to the Home Depot, the store, where we bought this paint for a refund. The Home Depot manager said that we should to contact BEHR customer service for the refund.
We didn’t save original receipts of our BEHR paint purchases. So we mailed copies of our two receipts, which where printed out by the Home Depot program.
Today I have received a letter from the BEHR customer service, which informed me that I have to have original receipts to get my refund.
Please, help me by your advice. I don’t know my rights in this case. Can I legally get refund for a poor quality purchase, if I haven’t saved original receipts?
Thank you.
Regards,
Tanya Bunch.
