WATCH OUT FOR MONEY TRAPS IN THE ROOMS - We recently stayed at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Bellagio is part of MGM Mirage family of Casinos, so you may need to be aware of all of these also. We have a time share in LV, but needed a room for one night earlier (we arrived Thursday but couldnt check into our timeshare until Friday afternoon). so we get to the Bellagio around 1:00 am and check out at around 11:00 am. Only there 10 hours total. We were guests of some friend who prepaid for the room, so we used a credit card for "incidentals". A few days after returning home our credit card shows charges of $42.00 My wife attempted to contact the Bellagio but in turn just got a detailed bill for:

$10.00 CHOC ALMONDS

$12.00 CASHEWS

$20.00 Poker Chips

Apparently everything in the room is weighted adn you are charged even if you dont take anything. I do remember looking at a couple items in the basket on top of the minibar but nothing was taken.

I have tried to contact the hotel, but they make it difficult to complain...hence this posting.

I am still waiting to get the bill for 2 oz of shampoo we used (lol). I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't weighted too.

I guess the casino business has gotten so bad that they need to set "customer traps" to ensure they make ends meet.
