On May 28, 2009 I purchased two books online, of the same name, For Every Dog an Angel. The charges for these books totaled: $11.77. When I called BBV to find out who BBV Discount Books is, I spoke with a Customer Representative named “Alaina”. When I questioned what I was being charged $19.95 per month for she immediately said, “Do you want to cancel your subscription?” I told her I didn’t have a subscription, she assured me I did. She explained that when I bought the two books in May 2009 one of the books was discounted from $6.95 to $1.95. Because of that discount I was enrolled in a monthly subscription. She offered to refund three months of the subscription but that if I wanted a further refund I would have to contact the BBV Corporate Office.

It is easy to see how this charge was missed on my credit card statement. The company named Discount Book Store (DBS) was the billing agent from May 2009 through December 2009 then the billing agent name changed to Best Brand Value Discount Books. Furthermore, the billing dates on which the transaction was posted changed to different parts of the month on a routine basis. It is obvious your company is a fraudulently charging for subscriptions that are not authorized.
