Warrenty Fraud
My wife has finally made her last purchase from Besy Buy. In 2008 she bought a laptop computer for University, she paid for the "expertise" of the Geek Squad or what I like to call "rip off squad" most of these retards can't even program a remote let alone your electronic equipment, they can't do anymore than you can, they just use BS intimidation hoping that you will dole out the additional $150 for set up and $280 for warrenty. DON'T buy it READ the fine print, they WILL NOT do anythingto help you. So anyways my wife bought a cell phone from best buy and yet again she PAID for WARRENTY, $240 on top of the cell phone purchase, now again I say READ THE FINE PRINT, in their extended warrenty of cellular phones it states they will preety much NOT cover anything that goes wrong with your phone. Now my wife purchased her cellular from best buy and is with a major provider, when she call them they couldn't believe what Best buy had done, the provider had a better warrenty for far less and took my wifes old cellular and gave her a referbished one and we hadn't even bought their warrenty, they were just happy to help.

No response to my e-mail
I bought a Western Digital Media Player online from Best Buy on September 18, 2009, for $119.99. Six days later, their website price was $99.99. I e-mailed Best Buy customer service ([email protected]) to ask if their online price guarantee pertains to their own website and not just their competitors'. I was hoping for a $20.00 rebate, based on their 30 day price guarantee. That was September 24. On September 25, I checked their website and the price had jumped back up to $119.99. By September 28, absolutely no response from Best Buy (not even an acknowledgement that they received my e-mail). On September 28, I resent the message with a plea for a response. On September 29, I resent the message, begging SOMEBODY to acknowledge me. Today, September 30, I resent the message. It appears that Best Buy has no intention of responding to my inquiry. I guess they think that if they ignore me, I'll go away. Maybe they're right, but I can still post here that I feel this customer service is the shoddiest I've ever encountered. I will not be purchasing from this company again. Merchandise is only half the sale. You have to follow it up with stellar customer service if you want to survive in this economic climate. Too bad nobody at Best Buy realizes this.

I bought a DVD from Best Buy, tried to watch it at home and it started freezing. Took it back wanting to exchange it for a working copy... the girl there then tells me i can't exchange it because there is a scratch on it, and that my DVD player scratched it. I told her i play tons on DVD's on my player and just played 2 that morning and nothing happened to them...

The girl then tells me that i must of scratched it myself! I said i didn't she then went back to the DVD player,I said no she then says 'well then YOU scratched it' by that point i was boiling mad and yelling at her that i didn't scratch the f**%$g DVD we went back and forth with this stupid conversation for at least a couple of minutes... i told her all i wanted is what i payed for a working copy of he DVD scratching it is pointless.

The manager comes in I was yelling at that point and tells her to give me the DVD and she then trys to tell him it is scratched and i shouldn't get it... In the end i got the DVD. I just want to know what kind of customer service they are taught there.

Went there again today to exchange a DVD i got as a birthday gift (i stopped shopping there) stood 25 mins in line with only 2 people in front of me... manager came back and forth but never thought of helping when i asked she pointed to the line i was already standing in at that point (the second time after i got another DVD for 30 mins).
