Defective Products - Won't Replace
I purchase an LG washer and dryer at Best Buy. After four months, the dryer broke. Wouldn't power up (fancy model with bells and whistles). A machine four months old should not break and should replaced. Although I was on the phone for 5 hours with their Cust. Service and "Consumer Affairs" I was still forced to wait three weeks until they received a part and had their contract service come and fix it. With three kids that really sucks.

Ipad re-stocking fee
I purchased an iPad at Best Buy, on august 30, 2010,

upon attempting to return it on September 4, 2010 they informed me of the 15% fee.

I told them that the sales person did not tell me about the fee.

They said the iPad is a computer a subject to the fee.

I politely asked them to waive the fee.

None of this worked so I was charged the 15% return fee.

Is this legal?

Is any recourse that we can do?

Is anybody that can help?

Lies and cheats
Lied about repairing our Netbook! They did not inform us of the repairs and lied about the actual repair...would not reinstall the operating system. Had to resend it to the manufacturer to reinstall the operating system...Best Buy wanted to charge us! Best Buy is generating money by replacing the operating system...however the service from ASUS, Toshiba, HP, and Dell all repair their products for free which is included in their warranty service. NOT BEST BUY! BEWARE...when you buy from this group you are risking your money and possibly throwing it out the window. Our computer is useless after the repair!

Worst ever
Do not depend upon BEST BUY for follow through on deliveries or any promises in that regard.

They are unreliable, disinterested, uninvolved, deceitful. Sales assistants are pleasant enough but hardly professional and basically, ineffectual.

You may wait for up to and even more than, 5 days for a promised delivery, each day another missed appointment.

Installations are not synchronized with deliveries. More headaches.

Warehouses are not aware of what they are housing!!! Who's in charge???????????

Phone calls are unending, upsetting and unfruitful.

GO ELSEWHERE or I promise hair-tearing stress and tremendous inconvenience.

No complaining to corporate offices. No one is accountable.

I'll be spending my wait time (5th day) posting as many of these as humanly possible.

The guy working almost laughed at me when I was explaining my problem
My laptop was making a LOUD "whiiiiir-ing" sound for a week or so and was driving me nuts! It was still working okay, but the sound was obnoxious! I decided go into Best Buys Geek Squad to have my computer diagnosed and repaired. The guy working almost laughed at me when I was explaining my problem and said (as if I should have known) "Thats the FAN!" - "Okay, fantastic, its the fan... can you fix it?" He told me he would get to work and that they'd call when it was fixed.

I recieved a call from the same gentleman the next day explaining my computer wasnt salvagable and then proceded to reccomend new machines for me to buy. I made it clear over the phone I wasnt interested in buying a new mchine that my budget was tight and there wasnt room to buy a new computer, I needed this one to last another 2 years or so. I went in to pick up my "unsalvagable" laptop later that day and was again, bombarded with endless sales pitches for new laptops. Already upset my computer was supposedly toast, I became very frustrated with him not understanding I DID NOT WANT A NEW COMPUTER. I took my laptop and left.

I needed a second opinion before I retired my laptop. I was going to be SURE before I chucked it into the trash. I called a company called Secure Remote Support and explained my situation. The technician I spoke with told me to send in the computer and they'd check it out for free, and let me know if it was in fact dunzo. He told me that if it was repairable he would let me know the things needed to be done and the cost before billing me. I sent in my computer and the day they got it he called and explained it WAS fixable and I just needed a new fan! I was so relieved I didnt have to retire my computer for good! I gave him the go-ahead and he fixed it all up and sent it back to me within that week. It works as good as new and I dont have to listen to that obnoxious WHIIIIRING sound anymore.

Im done with Best Buys Geek Squad where they seem to only care about THEIR bottom line, not mine. Best Buys Geek Squad thought I would just drop everything and buy a new computer because they insisted my computer was done for - and its sad to think there are suckers out there who fall for that ploy. Im glad I found a company that puts the customer first and provides you with the services you need and doesnt try shoving extra purchases down your throat. Thank you secureremotesupport.com. Do your research before taking your machine to Best Buys Geek Squad. Youll be glad you did.

Awful service and impossible to complain
I have an Acer computer that I love. I started having trouble with the LCD, my service maintenance agreement was about to expire so I took it back to Best Buys. They told me it would be back in 2 - 3 weeks. I called the other day, they replaced some parts, still not working . . . waiting for more parts. It has now been 26 days and its Saturday. I tried to complain to Best Buys Consumer Relations, got a message for 5 minutes "Please Wait."

Webroot Spysweeper with AntiVirus Product
I bought a Toshiba laptop and it came with a free 6 month Webroot Spysweeper with AntiVirus Product. I wasn't going to use it however I just took the CD (never installed it on my system either). At the checkout, they needed my card to activate it (in hindsight I never should have swiped my card, so I can see being flamed for that, but I figured "I will just call and cancel it" and be fine) and then I paid for the laptop.

Fast forward three months later, I call the 800 number and cancel the subscription for it so my card would not be charged $41.99.

Forward three more months later, I notice during a check of my checking account, that there is a $41.99 hold on my funds. I look and see its from Best Buy (whom I canceled the subscription with three months prior!). After being on hold for at least ten minutes, I finally got to talk to an actual person. I told them about the situation and that it "will be canceled and refunded". A week later it was not refunded so I filed a dispute with my banking institution.

i love my valery home. i purchased it three years ago and have had no problems to speak of. this is my wife and I s third valery home and they have done a great job on all of them. we have made a ton of money on the previous two homes and look forward to purchasing a forth Valery home very soon!!!

My new printer is not responding. I have filed several complaints but there is no response. If it continues like this may complain to the company myself.
