Failure to pay, abuse of shoppers
Bestmark is a mystery shopping company. It hires contractors to do evaluations of retail stores. However they do not pay much of the time for BS reasons. I am an attorney and former govt investigator and know how to investigate something. They admitted that they first page of their online report for the shopper to fill out was missing. They called me two weeks after the shop was accepted to ask me the :"time in" and something about the employees physical description, which was not on the original form. I gave the guy calling me the physical description and emailed him a scan of the item in question, which had the time date stamp and definitive proof that I was there at the time I said I was. He canceled the shop and I was not going to get paid. I called someone named Sarah at Bestmark and she blocked me from further access. I could care less because the shop is the lowest paying I have ever done, especially given the amount of work. I am making a complaint with MSPA and the Better Business Bureau. If someone says they are not being paid, believe them. They are disguisting. Imagine blocking you as a future shopper because you bring the poor work of an editor to their attention? That tells you where their loyalties lie. Also, the companies that do business with them should know that waiting two weeks to edit a report is way below industry standard. Your employees are not going to remember that far back. You get what you pay for. Can't wait to see what Best Mark says to justify their actions in this case.
