MAJOR SCAM!!!
Oh, yes, these guys are SMOOOOTH! Lured in by the promise of an "eductaion" in investing and a GUARANTEE that the process would be so easy that anyone could accomplish their goals in 6 months, and if you didn't, you got your money back from the training, who could resist?
Well, BEWARE - there is NO WAY IN GOD's GREEN EARTH to accomplish what they promise in the time allotted. Starting from ground zero with no investment knowledge, the required trades in the time allowed will either a) suck up all your investment money, b) freeze your psyche so stiff you are afraid to make a move for fear of losing it all, or c)make you so frustrated and insecure that you want to crawl under a rock for being so stupid as to trust these weasles and give them multi-thousands of dollars to throw you into debt for years to pay them - with nothing for you to even try to invest, cuz they get it all... on auto pay, so you can't even stop it!
Once they have you, you are committed to a contract that will suck your account dry. They don't care if you go into overdraft from their payments, they don't care if you've lost your job, your house, your car... they want their money for having spent two days of your life brainwashing you into thinking you can outsmart the investment world.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DON't GO THERE!!!

Workshop presenters Competence
I went to the BetterTrades 'Financial Freedom Expo' in St. Paul Minesota on Oct. 13, 2009 to learn how to get control of my retirement funds after being mislead by several brokers over the years. As my personal investment research has just begun, the first glaring bit of information that I learned was that the key failure that started the failure of the old Wall Street model was the result of the AIG corporation and its creation of a new department to capture the great profits that can be made by 'Credit Default Derivatives' which turn out to be very fragile financial products. As I was told very sternly not to interrupt the presentation with any questions, I waited until the' after presentation 'Hard Sell' time with the speakers assistants to answer the question, " if the core of the program is day-trading of 'Options', weren't 'Credit Default Derivatives' Options and how do we justify selling and buying such options which were such a significant part of the previous failure of our financial system? Three assistants didn't know how to answer my simple question and deferred me to a Gary Moore who identified himself as a Christian minister and who told me to trust in the program and who still didn't answer a basic question which I expected such 'experts' to know. We were told to hurry and be one of the next 5 people to sign up up for the very expensive program and get the home and live seminars for the same price. That turned out be not be true for all 20 participants would get the same 'deal' if they signed up. I asked for several local students' phone numbers who purchased their program and who I could call and ask their opinion of the program but was offered none. The pressure to sign up without answering our questions lead us out the door without signing up. Their presentation lacks depth and credibility. Patrick

Refusal of Money Guarantee
Just call me "SUCKER". I bought the product under much duress. I was in a lot of pain from my back after sitting thru their 2 hour presentation, so they rushed me thru the process, all the time assuring me that I wouldn't have any trouble getting my money back if I realized I couldn't do the course. After trying to do the studying and doing the fake trades, which I had trouble getting assistance doing because they are an education company only, I realized I couldn't do it. I called them to inform them of the situation and the customer service person said he didn't see why I couldn't get my money back. But, then I got an email refusing my request because I didn't do the required trades. I told them I was unable physically to do the necessary trades, but they refused yet again. I then submitted a letter from my neurosurgeon verifying my condition. The Financial Manager sent a message via Customer Service refusing my request. I asked to speak to her, but she refused and the Customer Service Rep eventually got rather nasty after my repeated requests. Needless to say, I was stuck with a $150 month payment for 2 years. If I wasn't concerned about my Credit Rating I would not have paid it.
Please take this as a stern warning. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They take your money and run with no concern for you or your situation.

How Can This Be Legal?
I so wish I would have never heard of this company. I wanted to work from home and still make decent money. I thought stock trading would be the answser. I signed up with Better Trades and it's been nothing but a down hill spiral for me since. I thought with their money-back guarantee how could I lose. Well, the contract that you sign is so incredibly binding, there is no chance of getting any money back. In fact, you have to spend MORE money in order to have any hope of functioning in trading. The founder, Freddie Rick, says you CAN function with just the basic class and it's like the differece between driving a beater car or a Rolls Royce. What he was really saying was if you did not spend another $4000 at the class, you can't possibly do trading. Once signed up, you are bombarded with additional classes offered... all for a mere sum of $500 each plus your travel expense.
I studied diligently on a daily basis. In the first 6 months, I was no where near ready to make the amount of trades they require in order to get your money back. And don't think they haven't figured that out. My money was running out and I could no longer sustain the credit card payments they were charging me. I had no choice but to close the credit card which was only 1 month prior to the expiration of my contract. That should have been around $500 still owed.
It is now 1 month later and I received a bill for nearly $6000... that is not a typo! They are charging me over $200/day interest and compounding it. It is not likely in this lifetime that I would ever be able to pay that. They will ruin my credit which has always been excellent and are calling to harrass me several times a day.
I cannot figure out why the Attorney General hasn't gone after this company. If there is a class action suit out there, please sign me up!!!

Big Time Scam
This company almost got me, I've attended this seminar only the found out that they want your life savings that you had worked for your entire life. These people are very smooth and fast talker and they want you to believed that you will be making a lot of money by investing their expertised, totally bull. You don't have to be a smart nor wise, because its so obvious that anything like these that involved large amount of money is scam. They want you to invest right out of the bat for $5000 for their software and support about buying stocks, if these are real making money, why do they have to go from state to state to sell their knowledged about how to make money? why can they do these by themselves and pass it on to their relatives or love ones. Please do not be decieved by these scam bags.

Seminar
I went to one of their seminars in Concord, CA on Tuesday because I was curious about the product. I have been trading in the market for several years and I'm always looking for an added edge. I found the Better Trades product to be far too expensive for what they offer. Their CDs and DVDs can be found on Ebay from individuals who are trying to retrieve "part" of the $3000 -$4000 they spent on the same course.
Much of the information Better Trades offers can also be found FREE at the following website: http://www.mysmp.com/options.html
Do yourself a favor and research this site. It will save you from a $4000 mistake, and it may answer some questions about trading.

Fraud and lies
I went to their introductory seminar and was told all you need to start making fantastic money was their 'Market Essentials which was around $3000 if you didn't have that amount you simply could pay $999 and the rest would be in monthly installments for under $150 per month WITH NO INTEREST.
Of course I signed up received the CD's and scheduled to go to the 3 day workshop and to bring our computers. At the workshop we were allowed to use their software program which gives you the stocks and prices and what they are doing etc. If we wanted to buy that program it would cost another $3200 (approximately) but you dont need the program you can do paper trading with any online brokerage THEY SAID. Also in order to know about the different company's which gave you their symbols etc was another $3000 which we got to use at the 3 day.
Well lo and behold - got home - got the online brokerage and now on their webinars trying to do the online paper trading. IT'S NOT WORKING CUZ IT'S NOT THE SAME AS THEIRS.
I called them and complained they suggested to buy their program or just keep trying and I should be able to correlate what they were doing. I believe I called about 5 different times but was never given any info I could use to make this work. I supposedly could get my money back within 6 months doing actual trades. HOW COULD I DO ACTUAL TRADES WHEN I COULDN'T FOLLOW THE ONLINE PAPER TRADE SINCE I COULD NOT AFFORD THEIR SOFTWARE?? I could not get my money back plus I still have to pay the monthly charge.
I stopped paying the $150 per month with 22% interest which was suppose to be NO INTEREST and of course I am being harassed. They said it was in the contract I signed. (When I was in line signing up- with 20 people behind me - who had time to read the tiny fine print!)
I HAVE BEEN TOTALLY RIPPED OFF!
