Renewal of Post Paid Mobile Connection
My Mobile No. is 9840241144, Post paid Airtel Connection. The Plan is Advance Rental Executive - Rs.999/-. The expiry date of the plan was 13/07/2009. Towards renewal of the plan for a further period of one year fron 14/07/2009 to 13/07/2010, Rs.999/- was paid at Airtel Relationship Centre - Reach Communications, Chrompet, Chennai on 30/06/2009. The plan amount of Rs.999/- was paid along with the bill of June, 2009 of Rs.306/-. Confirmation of Receipt of Rs.306/- was received, but no confirmation was received in respect of renewal of plan charges paid.

The Airtel Relationship Centre at Chrompet, Chennai was visited on 07/07/2009 personally and they were informed that the money collected from me was not transmitted to Airtel. After my reminder only the amount of Rs.999/- was transmitted to Airtel.

Arbitrarily and without my consent, Airtel renewed the plan from 07/07/2009 and informed me that the expiry date is 06/07/2010. The plan should have been renewed from 14/07/2009 which should carry expiry date of 13/07/2010. Airtel do not seem to understand the simple mathematics of yearly renewal, i.e., when a plan expires on 13/07/2009 and renewed for one year, the next due date will also be 13/07/2010 only.

Complaints were made and representations to Nodal Officer and Appellate Authority also were made, but all in vain. All of them inform that the next date of renewal will only be 06/07/2010 and not 13/07/2010. Seven days of the plan is straightaway taken out by Airtel.

Please look into the matter and render justice.

Sir/Madam,
Please find herewith a response apropos of your legal notice no. LL/09-08/0215 dt.13.09.08 w.r.t A/c-115-100658789 mobile No.9831849551 of Mr.Dipayan Ghosh issued regarding recovery of outstanding dues of Rs.1015.44 [Enclosure 1]. In this context, I, the undersigned, would like to draw your attention to a few pertinent facts which have been omitted in the aforesaid notice.
1. It is true that I have been called up by one Ms. Sonali from Airtel Customer Care, City Center, Salt Lake who offered me a postpaid connection [Full Value 199 Plan-KOL] in a “limited period offer”, wherein I was promised a full talk value of my rental, no security deposit, no CLIP charges & the option of calling any phone anywhere in India @ Re.1/min. Since the offer was lucrative, I grabbed the offer at the first instance and was offered a SIM & allotted a customer account number with my due consent after completing necessary paraphernalia.
What I was NOT informed was that-
(a)The aforesaid mobile no. was already been allotted in the name of one Mr. Arnab Ganguly.
(b)That I would be repeatedly pestered during my busy schedule by incoming calls and sms from various private banks and financial companies threatening me with dire consequences if I do not reimburse/repay some credit card dues and/or loans incurred by the same Mr. Arnab Ganguly, thus causing me to suffer from intense humiliation and psycho-social trauma due to the utter callousness & negligence of Airtel Customer Care-providing the same number to two different customers and remaining complacent to sort the matter out despite repeated requests & complicating matters further by issuing a legal notice, whence a letter of apology was perhaps the need of the hour.
(c) That CLIP charges of Rs.50/- per month would be levied on & from the 3rd month and that too, would be charged separately and not from my unused talk value.
(d)That from the very first bill I would be charged @ Rs.1.20/min instead of Re.1/min as was promised by your sales personnel [Enclosure no.2].
(e)That the option of calling any phone @ Re.1/min was limited to the West Bengal Circle only & STD calls outside circle to any mobile in India will be charged at a much higher rate.
2. It is indeed a shocking realization that in the event of such non-transparency regarding allotment of new connection, hypocritical marketing strategies, and despite my repeated requests for change of number and blocking of promotional calls [through DND activation] falling into deaf ears, you were prompt enough to issue me a legal notice in lieu of a letter of apology on your part without even making a formal enquiry towards remitting my grievances.
3. In view of the above facts, I, a Grade-A Gazetted Officer in West Bengal Health Services, as a customer, would like to emphasize that if you insist on this undue and unjust payment for a service that was not at all allotted to me and the services of which could not be availed by me properly over the last few months, you may initiate legal proceedings as deemed appropriate by your legal cell, wherein, I shall have no option but to see that the controversy be settled by the Consumer Forum and the TRAI-since I feel that it is high time that a reputed corporate like Bharti Airtel should stop playing such cruel pranks on innocent customers like us.

charget for unused service
my mobile number is 9994744774 i am a the one of the customer in Bharti Airtel Limited for past 2 years and i suggested to my family members and my friends cricle also to take this service, but right now i disappointment of this service due to the following problem(from the airtel i am reciving the regularly free wap links to my mobile on 04/09/2008 morning app 5.40 AM i go through the free wap named katrina kaif they charged to me some of amount 50(fifty rupess) from my balance without downlodeing any picture, i did not see the page too before the front page appearances i exit from the wap...i dont kown why they made charge for me, i called and asked to customer care, they are saying u used it sir, but i did not used it, still i did not get answer from their side and they canceled the direct call to customer care from mobile.i think they feeling like i am lieing to them, right now i feeling why i taked this nasty service...

Non refund since 150 days
I Pavan Shah residing at 202 Jessore Road, Shyam Lake Garden Kolkata (West Bengal) had applied for a Boardband Internet Connection on 09-04-2008 Vide REC No.195053 and Sef No.0046494 and your executive Mr. Subhra Kanti Das. Subsequently i was informed your Mr.Subhra Kanti Das
that they are not able to provide Broadband Connection at my premise due some technical problems, and he said that i would get my refund cheque within 15 working days, but sir i think it is almost 150 days.

Yesterday i happened to call your Customer Care at 033-44441111, unfortunately the call might have been transferred to your Delhi Unit. The customer Executive at Delhi Mr.Kunal was very stubborn and not trying to listen to my querying fact he said you should call kolkata branch. Now my Question is that I had applied for Brozdband Connection to Bharti Airtel not to the kolkata, although i called your kolkata phone number if it is transferred to delhi is it my fault. Is this the service of Bharti Airtel Limited.

Lastly, i would like to know from your company that this what the service Bharti Airtel is providing to the customer. Why we talk about 3G Spectrum etc... 0etc... when the company is not able to provide refund cheque for 150 days. It is highly unexpected...

Unauthorised disconnection of postpaid connection
After paying for my mobile postpaid bill and the payment has wrongly been credited to someone else's account, my postpaid connection has been disconnected saying non receipt of payment. After one month, the wrongly credited payment has been recredited to my account, but all these days, my mobile service was disconnected. Subsequently another invoice has been raised for the so called usage during the disconnection for which i had not made payment. Still my mobile has not been resumed service.

regarding security deposte
I had taken telephone/internet connection which numbers are 40129957, 12916280 respectively. I requested to terminate the service on 17th of July. it was terminated and in August it was reactivated without my acknowledgment. I was charged rental bill for the month of August also. I cleared the outstanding amount and the Airtel agent which collected cheque from me assured about the refunding of the security deposit of 500 which I had given while taking the internet connection.
I was told that security deposit wil be refunded to me within 40 days. But afeter 9 months also it was not refunded to me. I have made several call regarding this but in vain.
I request you to do the needful.

NETWORK COVERAGE NOT BEING RECEIVED
I AM NOT RECEIVING AIRTEL MOBILE SERVICES NETWORK COVERAGE ON RAJKOT-MORBI HIGHWAY AT AJAJNTA INDIA LTD. LANDMARK, I AM A POSTPAID CUSTOMER PAYING RENTAL OF RS. 399 PER MONTH, THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE OF AIRTEL REPLIED ON MY COMPLAINT THAT THE NETWORK WILL IMPROVE WITHIN THREE MONTHS NOT IMMEDIATELY WHAT I HAVE TO DO FOR SIX MONTHS WHERE WILL BE I WORKING AT AJANTA INDIA LIMITED FOR AUDIT PURPOSE, MY MOBILE NUMBER IS +91-9998809989. I AM LIVING IN RAJKOT -GUJARAT, DAILY COMING FROM RAJKOT FOR AUDIT PURPOSE BUT REMAINING DISCONNECTED WITH MY FAMILY MEMBERS DUE TO AIRTEL NETWORK PROBLEM.

Unbale to get incoming facility in the roaming
Hi,

I'm Gopal from mumbai. I purchased a prepaid connection of Airtel from mumbai last month.While i was at mumbai it was working fine.I have submitted all the documents required to the dealer.On a business toure I'm on roaming now.I'm able to make calls using this SIM but i can not receive any calls.I have tried several times to the customer care but the answer is they are helpless.

I can't understand whom i should approach to get my problem solved.

Not resuming services even after the payment has been made
My name is Mr.Narender Kumar Jain. I am using "Airtel Fixed landline" and i m really frustrated with the kind of services they are providing. My landline no. is 41620967 & my account no. is 11208570. I had paid the bill on 2nd August'2007 & today is 7th august but my services are not yet resumed. I made the payment through easy bill outlet. When i called at customer care,people there said that they will be resuming my services as soon as possible. But when till 4th august my services were not started i again called up but this time they said that they have not received any payment from our side.They even made promises that they will resume my services within few hours whenever i called them... but they were all false promises. Now, they are saying that my payment is not reflecting at there end and they cannot do anything for me. One of the executive even replied to me very rudely saying that they cannot help me. The only thing they do is they transfer my line from one executive to another and this is happening with me for the past one week. This is not for the first time that is happening, this happens every time. I have all the receipts and documents that are required...

I hope my problem will be solved.

Non submitting of pending bills!
Myself was having Airtel Post paid connection 9967033101 but from Feb 2007 I discontinued the same as where my usage was on the higher side Airtel Made a habit of asking fpr the payment twice in a month failing which they use to discontinue the services.

Several time I made request to provide me Legal Bill against which the payment can be made in due course of the date but before the bill arrived Airtel always use to get the money on demand from my side as I was afraid of getting the services discontinued.

Late I changed the Service Provider and which discontinuing I again made request to Airtel to provide a legal Bill with subtracting the security amount given to them at the time of booking but till date no bill has been provided.

Yesterday 19th July 2007, Received a Legal Notice from Devi & Associates REF BCL/CH/MARCH-07/SRNO on Behalf " BHARTI AIRTEL LIMITED, 7TH FLOOR, NO-7 INTERFACE LINK ROAD, MALAD (WEST), MUMBAI-400064.

Mentioning that Airtel has followed up for the payment from last 3 months but till date I have failed to make the payment. Fact still remains that Airtel has never provide the Legal Bill neither made any calls to ask for payment.
