The speed i receive is never more than 2-3 Kbps in day and 5 Kbps in the night
I got an airtel connection in june 2006 for the purpose of using the internet. Airtel says that the connection speed is 115.2 Kbps, the customer care people say that i will get a speed of about 40-50 Kbps, but unfortunately the speed i receive is never more than 2-3 Kbps in day and 5 Kbps in the night and this speed only on some lucky times, otherwise even sites like google wont open. I talked to the customer care people and they said that some maintainance work is going on and once it gets completed, the speed will be normal again. It sure was a lie as it has been about 2 months since then and the speed is still the same.

Outgoing Calls barred in Haryana
I have airtel prepaid connection of HP where I'm working presently.
Problem is that when I reached in haryana region my all outgoing calls are barred or I can not make outgoing calls even there no issue of account balance & network.
I have made complaint many times at 09816098160 but no satisfactory response recieved even i have changed my hand set also but the problem remains same. The problem occurs only in haryana neither in punjab nor in rest area.
plz requesting u to resolve the problem ASAP.

NOT GIVING A SERVICE OF INTERNET AFTER PAYING THE CHARGE OF INTERNET
my name is Rajiv Ranjan Gupta.My Airtel Mobile Number is 9973708759. I recharged the GPRS pack of Rs-26 /- at 10 AM date-19/05/2010.But after 10 hours it is not activated. The customer care number is also not connected. i don't talk with customer care authority.

Inflated bill
My name is Mr.H.D Jawa and my no. is 9810478962 . I have this no. for more than 8 years now, last december i received a bill of rs.5600 which included calling charges and value added services, which were never used on my phone. I reached a settlement figure of rs.4000 with Airtel and asked them to take these services of my no. and they confirmed.
Bills for Jan, Feb and March included calling charges which i have paid and Value Added Services amounting to rs. 4000. I tried getting in touch with the representatives and launched numerous complaints but nothing happened and they have now disconnected my no.
Now after 4 months I am waiting for them to reply with a possible solution.

Stealing Money from Pre paid accounts without positive consent from customer
My mobile number is 9896145665 ( Haryana Circle). Airtel has started a unique method of fund raising for its Zain deal buyout. It is stealing money from customers account without their knowledge. Today morning (23/02/2010 ), i had a balance of Rs 163 in my account. After making a 30 sec. local call, i was amazed to see that my balance has fallen to Rs 62. I wondered about as to what has happened here.In the mean time, i got an SMS stating that " your free trial for Games club is open now. After this, you will be charged Rs 99 per month.If you do not want to participate, SMS UNSUBGE at 54321. " Then i realized that my 99 rs has been stolen by Airtel .
I am using the word stolen because, the amount was deducted without my knowledge and without my positive consent. This is innovation of airtel to fund its Zain deal through the pockets of its customers without their been aware of it unless they are vigilant. I have given a complaint to them via complaint number 205069 dated 23/2/2010. Through this post, i want to make people aware of this looting by Airtel . Two of my friends have got three such unsolicited schemes on their mobiles. Who is Airtel to force such schemes on customers ? it is taking negative consent from customers by asking them to unsubscribing to scheme. Why should anybody unsubscribe a scheme which he or she hasn't subscribed in the first place ? and what about the customers who don't read most of the SMS es. They will keep on paying Rs 99 per month (or any other amount according to the scheme forced by Airtel) for no fault of theirs.
Airtel should return the money of all such people and stop sending sms es with negative consent. They should ask for positive consent as to whether one wants to SUBSCRIBE for a particular scheme or not.

SMS getting delivered to other party when you really do not send it
For last 4 wks or so a person is complaining of receiving one SMS (early in the morning) daily on his mobile -- neither the other person knows me nor I know him! The other person receives SMS daily at 6am, even if my mobile is switched off overnight.

This is happening even when I am not sending any SMS to any person at all.

I requested Airtel to correct this issue: after several calls to their call center I was able to register my complaint. Then they started strange tricks to solve the problem - like changing SMS center numbers (in my phone), chaging the equipment etc. Nothing worked and the other party continued to receive SMS.

I escalated the problem up to appellate of Airtel, but of no avail. After passing a lot of time, now they say that first get FIR registered and then Airtel will proceed to check what is happening in THEIR network.

This is extremely disappointing to see their carelessness, delayed response and ignorance.

I think now I will have to change my number!

I have connection 9871876134 with Life Time Validity. But now the Company has unilaterally stopped the service.

Unauthorised debits for unwanted services
I have been charged Rs 1 each every alternate day for services I have not asked for nor ever used. This has been happening for the past several months.- the services are 1) Job alerts and 2) Bikinirichalert. The message comes from 54321 saying that I have been extended free subscription for three days for which I have been charged Rs 1.

With great difficulty I manged to stop Job alerts. But the other one continues with precision-every alternate day Rs 1 debited.

The following questions arise:

1. How can Airtel impose on a service and yet charge for it?
2. Why does it not stop even when complaints made to it by calling 999 direct number?
3. With a customer base of 115 million, Airtel must be making a few billion rupees p.a, through this unethical business practice. Is there a way of stopping Airtel doing it?
4. How to get refund for the past wrongful debits for this uncalled for service and the nuisence messages. Tel No: 919004326079 ; [email protected]
