Bidding buzz is a complete rip off and waste of time!!!!
Firstly, can I say that I HAD to choose 1 star for the rating, however if I had a choice, I would not even rate it that much.
I have just attended the 3 day seminar this weekend gone by from 4-6 November 2011 and feel like I have lost 3 valuable days of my life listening to Matt and Amanda take advantage of people and take their money.
Afterwards, I jumped on the internet and did a google search for 'bidding buzz scam' (thinking that there HAD to have been others that realised this was just a scam) and, as I expected, the first few pages of matches all lead back to their program (and them selling it). They have even included 'scam' to promote their product and I'm sure they know how to bump all the results so that only their testimonials and advestising come up in the search. However, I did finally come to this site on about the 12th page but I'm sure most people wouldn't have bothered to go that far. I only have because the seminar really got to me and I want to reveal these people for what they really are - no better than nigerian scammers.
I cannot believe how cold hearted and money hungry Matt and Amanda Clarkson are. Basically, they pretend to be very down to earth, average Aussies just like you. Amanda even throwing in occasional 'how's it going Darl' and 'Look at me, look at me' as if to sound like Kath n Kim. They don't really teach you anything about Ebay. What they do try to drum into your head is that there is a lot of money to be made in Ebay and you just have to change your life to make this money. Which I do agree, there is money in Ebay, but you do NOT need to buy their programs to make this money.....and if you believe that you just need to change your life to make this money........you are probably already depressed or have not educated yourself on the human mind.
They tell you:
-that if you want something, get of your butt and get it,
-that they're average aussies that just got off their butts and did something,
-that you don't have to be in 9-5 job slaving away like they used to,
-that buyers buy on emotion and later try and justify it with logic,
-don't be amazed at what people will spend their money on - they have lots of it and will buy anything,
-to let go of all the negative people that will tell you this wont work - they are cynical and 'pullers' (one of their terms for people that drag you down,
-that stories sell - tell your story and let the buyer feel it,
-that you have to get the buyer (who is a complete stranger) to feel comfortable with you and pull out their credit card to buy off you,
- to write up such an irresistible offer with bonus's, testimonials and a great guarantee and the buyer is not likely to return the product anyway,
-blah blah blah.
Basically, all of this that they are telling you is what THEY are doing back to you. They are just simply trying to sell their product and keep upselling to you with their 'story' and make you believe that you are the only person stopping yourself from being like them and it's all in your mindset. There's also lots of testimonials from previous people who have bought their program. They play on people's emotions and most of the people in the seminar really fell for these stories and beliefs. It almost felt like a cult. There was so much pyscology and human behaviour involved. They even had guest speakers including Pat Mesiti and Pete Godfrey, doing their inspiriational talks and telling their story, trying to motivate the crowd and tug at their emotions. Of course, at the end of their talks, they both had a product to sell......but wait, there's more.......if you buy it today, I'll do it for only $2400, normally worth over $4000.......and for the first 30 buyers, there's a bonus.......so pull out your credit cards now. Of course, there were plenty of vulnerable people who went and bought this package.
Every now and then, they ask the crowd to reflect on what they have learnt so far and share it with everyone else. It was almost like being in a 'Depressed anonymous' meeting. The person stands up with the mic and says 'Hi, I'm bob from sydney' and the whole room says ' Hi Bob from Sydney'. Then he says 'I've been slaving away for 20 years now, have 7 kids, and can't get ahead, but now that I've come to this seminar, I'm going to change my life around and make this work. I'm not going to let everyone around me tell me I can't'. So many of them with the same old story (and obviously at their last straw and very vulnerable), but now they've been motivated to change their life now thanks to Matt and Amanda. What i wonder is whether these people are really that stupid to fall for Matt and Amanda's story or whether they are possibly just paid actors. See, it's all just opportunity for them to sell their product. They give free tickets to people that have already signed up (bring a friend along), because if you were stupid enough to buy one of their products, you must have a friend that is equally as stupid I suppose. I admit, I went on a free ticket from someone but it was someone I had only met recently, hence I was not as stupid as her.
I believe in the first day of the seminar, they had already tried to sell about $5000 in their products. By the second day, there was about another $10,000 in total on their products and others. I can't say I stuck around for the 3rd day but I heard it was a package worth over $70,000 that they were selling for only $23,000. The whole seminar is just SALES of their product/program and they do not teach you anything about ebay. Don't be fooled into going to any of their seminars, even if they are free. Just self educate yourself on ebay.......it's really not that difficult and I'm sure there are other ways of getting the information you need without paying the ridiculous tens of thousands that the bidding buzz team want you to spend.
DO NOT INVEST IN ANY BIDDING BUZZ PROGRAMS! It will be a very bad investment!

Rip Off
I looked into the Bidding Buzz program and ultimately IT IS A MASSIVE WASTE OF MONEY!!! I didn't know anything about ebay and so I read Matt & Amanda Clarksons "The Magic of Making Money on Ebay" and then read Their "1001 ebay Success Secrets".
The books did give me a starting point and I did learn some things but the books read like a very long infomertial. The aim of these books is to up sell you to their bidding buzz programs.
I decided to register for the free report and DVD relating to Bidding Buzz (it is advertised at the bottom of every second page.)
THERE IS NO FREE REPORT OR DVD. It just allows a sales person to contact you. They want to discuss your individual situation so they know what information to send you. TOTAL BULLSHIT! In a scripted conversation the sales person wants to steer you toward buying their bidding buzz program costing $4000! (their are others ranging from $1000 to $75, 000)
For me this was a lot of money and since I had read two of their books I wanted to know some detail about the course and how the course content differed from the books. She wouldn't provide me with this info only saying that i would receive two 400 page ring bound folders of information.
And that the number of pages should indicate the kind of detail provided. In short i continued to press for some course content detail but none was given.
She kept trying to get back to her script and was quite rude, arrogant and dismissive of my needs, she continually talked over me and was not trying to help me, she just argued.
It's worth noting that in both books I read, the information was repeated several times, especially in "1001 ebay Success Secrets" so they barely had enough material to fill a 200 page book. So to pay $4000 for a manual which would probably cover more of the same was a CON!
By the way i found out later that the 400 page ring bound books are only 300pages. Also you can buy the entire $4000 program on ebay for $1500 -$2000.
Anyway I asked her to send me more material to which she replied " We'll i'm not sure you are serious about the program!!" she reluctantly emailed me more Info. Surprise Surprise it was 80% the same info as what appears on the Bidding Buzz website. Self promotion and testimonials about how lives have been transformed but no course detail. After repeatedly asking for course content detail and getting generic advertising I cancelled my follow up appointment. Bidding Buzz is a TOTAL RIP OFF!!! DO NOT PAY $4000 for basic ebay information.
Since my bidding buzz enquiry I have found many other ebay seller books and online coaching wedsites that provide much more substatial information and are either FREE or have monthly membership fees of between $10 - $25 per month and no lock in contracts. Through Bidding Buzz You may get some information on how to sell on ebay but it will be very basic. Buy the books for $35 but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER EVER INVEST IN THE BIDDING BUZZ PROGRAMS.

I joined the Matt and Amanda bidding buzz programme in Australias Las vegas - Surfers paradise. Amanda is a driven blonde who couldve come from the western suburbs of Sydney -- she speaks like this "Hello darls how youz goin" I went to a conference and it was sickening, the conference wasnt there to help anyone but themselves!! They use the time to give a few peanuts and then the hard shlock sell by their so called "guests" One pete Godfrey (sorry God!) was another shlock salesperson who comes from Mackay..is that the right name. All these pretend nouveau riche have one thing in common, they sell you a programme to sell you more. I have never bought a prg but Im ashamed to say I bought theirs. "Yes were there to help youz for the life of your biziness darl" Amanda spoke to me and then I never saw her again after I handed over over 5k. Yes throw darts at me Im a fool. The conference we paid to go to offered more programmes for up to 50k!!! Yikes they have no shame whatsover. Their consciences have been killed if they ever had one. I wanted some "human" contact and went up to Matt...whooaahh...talk about used car salesman from the gold coast, shirt open smelling of 1990s brut or was it 1980s eau savage, savage indeed
So Im having a little fun, why not eh, hope you all read this. Amanda kept calling her beau Matt or in QLD language M...e...r...tt (rhymes with fart) sexy darl. Then I felt I was in biblical times dancing around the golden calf when Matt and Amanda coerced people to sing a trite little ditty to Surfers dance music
"Ebay we love you MUNEE MUNEE MUNEE Ebay we love you MUNEE MUNEE MUNEEEbay we love you MUNEE MUNEE MUNEEEbay we love you MUNEE MUNEE MUNEEEbay we love you MUNEE MUNEE MUNEE..."
I kid you not. The lights go down, theres a hush, "OK people we only have 3 hours for some lucky people to join our 20k programme, dont miss out we will give you...blah blah blah..." and to my amazement people actually fell for this stuff including the 50k programme
Now I notice that there are defenders of sexy Matt and career woman shark eyed Amanda but I suggest that on this blog they are themselves or people who work for them. It is..Im getting serious now...shameful that the hard working people I met who all had a heart fell for this crap and how heartless Matt and Amanda really are. yes they give to Starlight foundation (so they say) but this is 100% tax deductibel and I can hear the financial advisor telling them
"Look gold chain Matt and shark eyes Amanda this is an incredible lurk, give muneee to a foundation and people will think yer honest -- hic -- spit cmon in les Patterson i was jes talkin to Mert n Amanda...yeah..."
Its sad I gave them over 5 thousand hard earned dollars and if you read this and I can save you some heartache then at least i wont feel so bad about it --- STAY AWAY ---- BAD NEWS!!!
