I took out a payday loan, of $225.00, with BIG in April 2008. I paid nine payments to equal $360.00 and still owe $265.00. I closed my bank account and a man from BIG called my work stating that he was from the investigations dept and that I was being investigated. He told another employee this. Being concerned that I was being investigated for something, I took the call. When I found out who it was I told him that I was at work with patients and was busy. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to give him a bank account number or he would talk to my HR dept and start a payroll deduction and add $400.00 to my balance. I said that I would mail the payment he said "no" BIG only accepts bank drafts or payroll deduction. I asked why he didn't call me at home and he said "no" that when I was at home they were not at work. I was forced to talk about my private, personal business in front of co-workers and others.
I called BIG when I got home to see if this was true. Of course not! I'm home and talked to two different people at BIG. One said I paid six payments, the other said nine. One said that I missed payments the other said no I didn't. I asked why the differences in what everyone says. I was told the other person is new or this was his first live call or
the other person was mistaken. This $225.00 loan will end up costing me $625.00 plus the embarrassment at work.
