I have a Maytag Neptune 6 years old that stopped working. Bill & Rods Appliance Inc. came our to service the machine. I was told it was the circuit board needed replacement at a cost of $200 for the just the part. The part was ordered.
After the repair was made, the circuit board worked but the washer still didn't work. To fix it I now need to sink another $300 plus into parts for a new pump and motor. The recommedation was to get a new machine from Bill and Rod's and we would be credited the service call plus the part ($300 )toward purchase of a new washer.
What we found out by visiting Bill & Rods is they only carry Maytags or Amanas and after experiencing an inferior Maytag product we are afraid to take a chance on another one.
We tried to return the $200 part and we were told that they did not take parts back. So needless to say we are out the $200 + service charge = $300 and have no compensation. We are both retired and cannot afford to shell out $200 to the charity of Bill & Rods and still have a machine that doesn't work.
In addition to this useless cost, we still need a new washing machine. I am fed up with being taken advantage of. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen to you.
