TOOK PAYMENT/DIDN'T DELIVER
I wish I would have checked out this company before I ordered from them. I am still trying to resolve an order I placed in January of this year. I have sent multiple e-mails and have left multiple voice mail messages. I have not received a response to any of them. The couple of times that I was able to speak to someone in person were fruitless efforts. I have been getting the run around from them for almost eight months. Please don't make the same mistake I did...check out on-line companies before you place an order.

DO NOT ODER FROM BILL BARNES JEWELRY!!! THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY!!! REPEAT --- DO NOT ORDER FROM BILL BARNES JEWELRY - BAD BAD BUSINESS!!!

They kept over $5500 of my money and now have attorney trying to get it back -- kopecky is a very shady and deceptive person and cannot believe i am having so much trouble even with my lawyer to try and get my money back due me - i will not give up though - as this is something that a company or person SHOULD NOT get away with!!!

Lots of bad businesses online - do not order highend or expensive products via the internet - i have certainly learned my lesson! Hopefully somehow they can take away his Business license or something to where he can't keep doing this to people! Incredible there isn't an agency to promptly help people with these matters and get these bad business people into jail to PAY for ALL their WRONG DOING!

REPEAT - DO NOT DO BUSINESS with BILL BARNES JEWELRY!!! THEY ARE THIEVES!!!

Unauthorized billing
On 10/30/08 i placed an order for a piece of jewelry for my anniversary. It was a $300 dollar pendant that contained very brilliant and colorful jewels. It was about 1 inch by 1 inch in size. I needed it by 11/8/08 so I paid an additional 50$ rush order to get it to me in time for the anniversary. To my dismay, the order never arrived. I called several times in November and December and they told me that my order was on back order. Finally in mid December I called them to cancel the order, but they told me that it had already shipped. The order finally arrived on 12/22/08 and when i opened it it was not even close to how it was presented online. There was very little color at all, in fact the jewels appeared to be predominantly gray. I called the customer service rep to return the item as my anniversary had long passed and i wasn't satisfied with the piece of jewelry. The same day i 12/22/08 i mailed the piece back to them by USPS. In the first week of January i called again. The rep confirmed that they had received it back and they were processing the refund and it would take a few weeks because of the xmas holiday. In the third week of January i called again to check on the refund and was told the same thing, that due to the xmas returns they were back logged and it would take a few weeks to process the refund. On 2/3/09 i called and emailed them again. I spoke to the same rep (who i believe is the owner)who said the refund would take up to a week due to Xmas back log. I told him that I called in Mid January and got the same line about it would take a week and that it has been 3 plus months that they have had my money. He said he didnt see any notes in the file. I asked him to please expedite the refund as money is tight and I need the money ASAP to pay bills. He said that he cannot commit to a time frame but that he would try to issue the refund in a few days but it could take a week. I asked him if he was putting that in the notes on this order, and he said yes. 2/3/09 I google searched billbarnes and fraud & billbarnes and refund and found more than a few complaints that they had not issued refunds to other people after they returned the merchandise. There are several complaints that this company will rip you off and not refund monies, even when they get their products back. On 2/3/09 Contacted CC company about starting fraud claim. I really hate this company. They have cheated me and many others as i have found online. I wish that i would have known before i purchased as i have been out of my $300 for nearly 6 months now. I would like to expose this company as illigit and fraudulent.

Customer Service/Inability to Deliver
Seriously, I ordered my fiance's wedding band from this company before I read this. I ordered the ring on 10/20/2008 and have basically been given the run around for the last four months. I gave them every option and every chance before I realized I was getting married in three weeks and had to have a ring. I probably made 20-30 calls to them asking where the ring was. I asked nicely, politely and understood any delays or holiday season excuse, until of course it was time to produce and they failed to do so.

They took payment on 10/20/08 and I called Artcarved, spoke to someone, and the ring was ordered officially from Artcarved after Christmas. Here is what they do, they use the money that you give to them to buy other items that buyers are waiting on, then, they fill the most urgent orders and then delay your shipment. I also spoke to Artcarved and they said that this company is past due on many billing and payment issues.

My guess, they are just making ends meet, so while I like to support businesses, my patience runs thin when they can't produce what they promised to sell and ship to me in a timely manner.

I urge everyone to stay as far away from this company as possible. Their delivery time is obscene, their quality of service is horrible, and the company is in major default with Artcarved.

STAY AWAY!!!
