unfair billing practices
I pay my bills monthly. I pay my bills on time or even early. Two times Bill Me Later has issued late fees because I PAID EARLY. Then they say I didn't pay at all for the month in question AND have a late fee. After several calls a representative called me back to tell me that they did me the FAVOR of taking off the late fee and accredited my account with the proper payment. This is totally WRONG. IS it even LEAGLE to charge people for paying early??? I sent the money thru my online bank on the month in question that it was due. Don't use this company unless you like dishonesty and paying fees you don't owe.

Security Verification Fraud
BML is the latest financing option on the internet. It does NOT require any account numbers, passwords, pin numbers, codes, or secret question answers methods. They just approve you with your Address, DOB and last 4 numbers of your SSL. Very weak security. I already got burnt. No alerts, no emails like Pay Pal or other CC companies. They approved online purchases based on this minimal information. Warning - close your accounts with BML now, even if you don't use them. Any one can use your info to buy stuff, and you wont find out until 30 days later when you get a bill in the mail. Absolutely weak, worthless security and verifications process.

HARASSING CALLS, BILLS, REFUSAL TO WORK WITH DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY
I HAVE RECENTLY RECIEVED A BILL FOR $3, 032.09 FROM BILL ME LATER, BUT THE MINIMUM PAYMENT THEY WANT ME TO PAY IS $485.00 WHICH IS SUPPOSE TO BE DUE 4/28/2010. I CAN'T PAY THIS AMOUNT, BECAUSE I AM WORKING THROUGH A DEBT MANAGEMENT CONSOLIDATION COMPANY REGARDING THIS BILL.
I HAVE ALREADY TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO BILL ME LATER THAT I AM WORKING WITH AND THROUGH A DEBT CONSOLIDATION COMPANY ON THIS, BUT THEY SAID THAT THEY DON'T DEAL WITH THIRD COMPANIES. SO I TALKED TO MY DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY ABOUT THIS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE WORKING WITH BILL ME LATER. BILL ME LATER STILL INSISTS THAT I HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT.
NOW I HAVE BEEN GETTING HARASSING PHONE CALLS FROM BILL ME LATER, AS WELL AS BILLS FROM BILL ME LATER. I AM SICK OF IT. I AM TIRED OF IT. I HAVE EXPLAINED IT TO THEM MILLIONS OF TIME, BUT THEY DON'T GET IT.
WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO? I NEED HELP.
THESE CALLS AND BILLS HAVE TO STOP, BILL ME LATER HAS TO WORK WITH MY DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY INSTEAD OF HARASSING ME.

False Late Fees and charges in order to charge the deferred interest charge
Bill Me Later is a scam. I purchased airline tickets and used Bill Me Later. I set up automatic online payments through my bank so that they would be paid off three weeks in advance. They move the payment due date each and every month. It was the 15th of the month so I set it up to pay the 15th. The next month they moved it to the 14th of the month and charged a $39.00 late fee and $2.00 finance charge on a $10.00 monthly minimum payment. I had paid $450.00 instead of $10.00 minimum and was charged $41.00 because they moved the payment due date. I paid off the airline ticketsearly - before the promotional period expired - but because of the late fees, I had a $12.00 balance. They charged the full $54.54 finance charge because my balance was $12.00. The customer service tells me they always pay off their late fee charges first, not the purchases. Then they charge me another $29.00 late fee on the $54.54 that never should have been charged. Supervisors on the customer service line were totally unhelpful. I finally cancelled my card. This is a horrible company in my opinion.

Charge Dispute
I purchased an airline ticket with Bill Me Later in July of 2009. August 2009 I was in a auto accident that left me in a coma and hospital for four (4) months. When I contacted the airlines requesting a refund they informed me that Bill Me Later never paid them and that I would have to contact Bill Me Later for a refund. HELLO!!! Bill Me Later won't refund me because I missed the sixty (60) day window for the dispute. You've got to be kidding??? They never paid US Air but want me to pay them??? I couldn't have contacted them if I wanted to. I guess being critically injured isn't enough for them. DON'T USE BILL ME LATER!

statements never arrive
I have never received a bill from Bill Me Later until it was not only already late but it had late fees already added. I have made several calls to them - the first time I was told they had put me on wireless statement (which I did not sign up for) so I had them change it to regular statements so I would have a record. The next time I called they said they sent the bill and it wasn't returned to them so I must have gotten it. I did not then, nor have I EVER received a single bill from them before the due date or one that didn't already have the late fee already printed on it. Those with the late fee arrive perfectly about a week after the original due date. I am not the only one, I have seen many complaints saying exactly the same thing.
I will be more than happy to take part in a class action suit against Bill Me Later. I have never had this kind of problem with anyone else and I find it impossible to believe that ONLY bill me laters bills ever get "lost in the mail" every single month. I am now paying in full and will never use them again - a three hundred dollar purchase has now cost more than double that amount. Caveat Emptor.

NEVER USE THEM
NEVER USE Bill me Later!!! I made a purchase, used them because that was the only payment option. I then paid the account balance in full. The payment did not go through - not because there was not funds but because of a possible input error regarding the checking account. As soon as I realized there was still a balance, I called to talk to someone, made the payment again - this time it worked. The employee was unable to clear the late fees and had to talk to a supervisor and would email me. Of course, never heard from said employee. Then I emailed them about the situation, never heard from them. Finally, I called again today. They will not waive the late fees. I have paid the late fees and am mad as you know what about it. THEY ARE A RIP OFF !!!

Hidden Finance Charges
I had submitted a full payment on a purchase online through the Bill Me Later program. I made the payment within the one year term in full and was told personally by the customer service agent that the enitre bill will be paid off with the submittiona of this payment a month ago. Weeks later I constantly recieved phone calls on my cell phone without leaving any messages, I never answer unknown phone numbers. I think this is a way to accumilate finance charges because it shows on record that they repeatedly tried to contact you. Lately I have been getting a call from the same number so today I answered it and it was Bill Me Later. The agent was calling from collections about an outstanding balance of aprox. $500.00. I had explained to them my situation and they transfered me to another department and my records did not show that I was responsible for this extra finance charge amount. The lady came back on the phone and said that a representative will contact me later when they figure out what is going on with my account. It sounds like they need some time to figure out how to explain to me why they are trying to collect an extra $500.00 from an honest customer.

Fraud Investigation Against Bill Me Later
Has anyone from California used the Bill Me Later option for online purchases? I’ve read stories about consumers being charged inflated finance and interest fees – some exceeding an APR of more than 100 percent.
These charges are unfair and illegal according to California’s consumer protection laws. Unethical Business Practices
They ripped me off by offering $100 off and 90 days no finance charge. Purchase goes through and doing their best Copperfield impression...PRESTO no record of the offer. LOL. Whatever...fool me once! I will be sure to let everyone in every forum know they are unethical and outright thieves.
