Scare tactics (Virus Alert) being used to motivate purchase of one product, which turns out to be three products @ treble the initial price advertised. The prompt action of my Credit Card Bank Administrators saved me about half of what I was liable to be "billed" with, as they noticed 3 debits going through in quick succession & phoned me to check the payments.

I have an unauthorized link on my computer for Antivirus 2008 protection that cannot be deleted. It says it is in use and cannot be deleted. Additionally, it is trying to force me to buy this software I do not need. It interrupts my internet usage and in some cases does not allow me to open needed files.

I need to eliminate this from my computer.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Are there any legal recourses I can take to force them to delete this from my computer. Any help will be welcomed.
