my husband cancelled our service in September by calling Protection one. We had received a bill for our next years monitoring. Which would have been due Oct. WE had decided to go with another company. On Oct. 2 my husband talk to customer service again letting them know again that we did not want their services. The representative became very short with my husband, like she was mad because my husband told her that protection one was to high on their charges. She then offered a $3.00 off our monthly rate. He told her he still was not interested and that we had already had another company. She then told my husband that protection one would be coming to get the equipment. My husband told her that it was our equipment. That we had paid for it. She proceeded to tell my husband that they would send a signal so that the other company would not be able to use the
equipment. At that time he was not told he had had to send in something in writingto cancel out services. WAS THIS NOT CONVENIENT ???
From that day forward we were called everyday stating
this is not a non emergency call, press 1 to talk to a customer representative. They was calling wanting money. We finaly called after receiving calls everyday and talk to someone that told us our account was past due. We told them we had already called and cancelled our service. The representative told us that we would have to fill out a cancel postcard and it should of been filled out 30 days prior to cancel date. Well he sent us a card. We filled it out. IN the mean time we are still receiving calls on our account.
OH YEAH remember we have not had protection one security protection since Sept. We have had another company since OCtober 1st.
Keep in mind that we are still receiving calls from protection one wanting money..everyday...

OK finally got enough, they called on Saturday, I was home and had the pleasure of talking to the rude people. You owe money. I explained to them that we have not had service with them since
September. Well you need to call this other # I just do the phone calls on the bills.
So I called the other #. Well I was informed that I owe $49.00 for Oct. and Nov. because they did
not get the cancellation post card until Oct 28th and that it would not be good until 30 days from that date. So that means you owe us $49.00.. I explained to her that I had not even received a bill
for the $49.00 and I was continuously receiving phone calls. What is up.?? I ask..
I do not owe protection one a damn dime. The lady said yes you do...
SO I ask her ... So I am suppose to give you $49.00 for nothing.. You was not monitoring my house.
PRotection one did nothing for me.. This is a ripe off... I am not paying this $49.00 ..
