Scam!
Everything started when I need software for my laptop. It was night and I could not find a software store to open so I was googling and found Binverse with all the words of his ads are promising. I signed up and gave up $ 1 registration fee separately. I think it's okay, because they mentioned the 14-day free trial and you are free to cancel it. My carelessness, I do not see in detail how to cancel. After I tried, it was very disappointing download speeds, slow! I decided to not use Binverse services. Later On February 6th I received an email from pay pal tranksaksi for $ 21.99!! without prior notice to the email address I registered to binverse. Binverse very difficult initially in contact via email [email protected]. Finally I contacted pay pal and complain about the unauthorized payment reply. And dated February 7 I received an email from me telling Binverse which gives details of the account. All the legal ways I have tried and I really hope that the parties Binverse improve their marketing way and do business in honest way! and please...give back my money!!

BEWARE THE BINVERSE!
Thanks!

No confirmation e-mails.
I signed up for a 14-day free trial with Binverse, after reading the terms which stated I could cancel at any time before the trial was up. However, I never received the e-mails giving me a username/password and allowing me to access my account. Therefore, I couldn't cancel it.

The very unpleasing woman on the support hotline said that my e-mail provider was blocking their e-mails. I told them that my $1 PayPal transaction cleared, and that I wanted both my account and the PayPal transaction cancelled. I sent them an e-mail through my alternate e-mail account asking for cancellation; I have yet to see the money refunded.

I do not know if sbcglobal.net actually blocks Binverse - if they do, I can understand why. But if you can't even activate your account, you can't cancel it, which basically means you're held hostage to pay for a subscription because without a username and password, you can't cancel the trial.

Do not deal with these people. I learned my lesson, and hope that others heed it.

Terrible download speeds
Okay so I was suckered into signing up for the Binverse free trial. I was looking for something on the net and followed a link that said the item was available on usenet and that to gain access I needed a Binverse account. It all looked okay so I signed up. I have had that program running 24/7 for 12 days so far and have only managed to download less than 1 gig of stuff. The download speeds are unbelievable bad. On average I am lucky to hit 25 kbit/s. What frustrates me even more is that most of what I have downloaded is unuseable because say I downloaded a file consisting of 45 part rar files, well you can guarantee that 2 or 3 of those part rars are incomplete. This hasnt happened just once but with every single download.
Maybe being in New Zealand affects the download speed but I get over 40 times faster speed on torrent programs than I do with binverse.
What a ripoff!!!

Issues with Binverse? Check out a few other Usenet Options
Binverse is a relatively new service we had high hopes for this Usenet provider but due to the negative feedback we've pulled them off our Top 10 list and posted a blog on this issue. Read more at http://www.usenetadvantage.net/usenet_newsgroup_blog/archives/146. We always like to keep an open mind so hopefully Binverse will solve some of these issues as there may be future potential with this Usenet provider.

If you would like to compare a number of other quality Usenet/Newsgroup providers & plans check out our website @ www.usenetadvantage.net.

Can't Get Service
I have just uninstalled my Binverse software because I couldn't get it to work. I have spent 24 hours tinkering with it, with my firewall settings, my internet security, my router. No go, won't connect.

I spoke on the phone to Binverse support and they told me I must be putting the username and password in wrong. The guy yelled at me when he didn't understand what I was saying to him and said I was getting aggro, which I wasn't at all. And then told me they were probably down for maintenance for a short period and that's why I couldn't get on. For 24 hours? I asked. And then he got slightly cross again and had a go at me for suggesting they would be down for 24 hours "Because madam, if that had happened we would have got many thousands of calls and we have only had one call and that is from you." So suck eggs customer and go away and stop bothering us with your problems.

And when I wrote to complain about him and see if I could get a useful response, I got an email back to say .. well all your settings are right at our end so that's all we can do. Sucking eggs again!

The tech guy I spoke to on the phone seemed to have as much technical knowledge as my toddler, probably less!

Am now going to make sure they have no further access to my paypal account given other complaints I have read on this site.

Binverse
After signing up for the free 14 day trial I proceeded to download the software. After messing with the software for several hours I decided the program wasn't for me and went to cancel my account. I searched the binverse website for 30 minutes before I FINALLY found the small blue hypertext link allowing me to cancel my account. I received a gray message box letting me know the process was done and I thought no more about it until my wife asked me two weeks later why we had $175 charged over 2 transactions. I immediately called the company that morning and spoke with a very nice and helpful young lady that told me I'd be called or emailed back that day after she reviewed my claim. I received an e-mail at 2AM the next day letting me know they had no record of me cancelling my accout and that I was stuck with their year of service. I called the next day and spoke to a horrible little man telling me much the same as their e-mail and, after asking what the $74.95 charge on my card was for, he informed me that they did not make any such seperate charge and called me a liar despite my having the overdraft notice to prove it. The $75 charge was erased before I made the second call but still caused me to overdraft and I don't appreciate being called a liar.

Terrible and underhanded business practice based on a friendly-seeming trial account designed to rob you of your money. I'm still dealing with this 2 weeks later.
Also, paranoid as it sounds, many review sites I've been to seem to have Binverse employees singing the company praises on the boards incognito. Google it to see for yourself.

Overcharging, poor customer support
Sorry I didn't register before issuing the complaint a few minutes earlier:

As experienced by other trial account users of the usenet service provide Binverse, I was automatically enrolled on a whole-year subscription plan worth $100 when their Terms and Conditions and payment reminder claim to default to a monthly plan of $20+.

Numerous emails to and from them have led to the same documented runarounds as described in
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/binverse-c223343.html<br />

Despite their claims of being customer-oriented, they have hidden behind their rigid and vague T&C, and are totally unwilling to admit that this is the fish net to trap unwary users who wish to continue using the service after the trial period expires.

Are there more powerful agencies that I can complain to? Is the BBB a possible arbitrator for my case? I really don't wish to create problems for Binverse as their service does work. It's their business attitude and vague, unfair terms that bug me no end.

Help, somebody! Thanks!

SCAM!!!!!!
Binverse is an absolute scam, they make you think your starting a free trial but after 14 days they automatically sign you up for a 12 month contract costing $99.99 and completely expect you to pay it. I called the customer support hot line to tell them i didn't sign up for a 12 month contract and that I wouldn't be paying them $100. They told me I could cancel my account but it would only be canceling the following years account so I would still "owe" them $100 for the next 12 months, and get this as soon as I canceled I was no longer able to use the binverse service so for the next 12 months they expect $100 and I cant even download anything! I tell you what tho Im never paying them anything and im going to post this all over the internet, Im also considering taking them to small claims court and contacting acouple news stations who frequently do stories about companies who scam people. WHATEVER YOU DO DONT USE BINVERSE, DONT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW NOT TO SIGN UP WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HOTLINE IS A JOKE, THEY DONT HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING, THE RUDE LADY ON THE PHONE COULDN'T DO A THING TO HELP ME AND JUST KEPT GOING IN CIRCLES TELLING ME I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THEM! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Unauthorized Chargers
STAY AWAY!!! this is one of the worst companies I"ve ever dealt with. Signed up for a "free" 14 day trial. Was out of the country doing business(legitimate business none-the-less, unlike what these clowns do) These guys had the nerve to charge me $100 for a annual membership! Called their 1-800 number and explained that I wouldn't have minded so much if they had just charged me for a month subscription instead of a whole year at once. Customer service reps gave me the run around along with fake names and wouldn't even tell me the company's mailing address. Don't expect them to be in business much longer, because I'm going to make that $100 back that they stole from me whatever way I have to. Even if that means making them hire counsel to see me in a courtroom. I plan on filing a complaint with the New Jersey State Attorney General's Office as well as The Better Business Bureau. I also will be disputing the charge with VISA and dedicating the next 3 months of my life to destroying this companies image.

Avoid this scam operation at all costs! STAY AWAY FROM BINVERSE.COM WHATEVER YOU DO!!

Fraudulent advertising
Binverse.com is a Usenet hosting company that advertises a fourteen-day free trial with 5 GB at their fastest speed and unlimited downloads at a lower speed of I Mbps. In fact, you only get the 5 GB of dowloading, then they try to force you to purchase a plan. You usually use up the 5 GB in the first day, so in fact it is a 1-day trial with a hard 5 GB limit. There is no unlimited, lower speed downloading! Please be forewarned and avoid them at all cost.
