Going in the door it was represented to me that they would screen the leads. Also I was told there would be about three to four professionals I'd be competing with.
In fact I discovered that I had to pay for any lead that had been given me. Also my customers enlightened me to the fact that more than nine other professionals at one time were being given the lead.
My son and I are in business together. After he quit his job to start working with me full time I had his cell phone set to receive leads as well as mine. This is when I discovered they were messing with the timing of the leads. This would explain why there were stretches of days where I could never secure an appointment. Once I called a customer who raved about my man already being on the job. It wasn't my man. I ask her if she knew how long ago she had put in the request for service. Going to her computer she said it had been exactly 42 minutes.
I called to complain many times but never got satisfaction. Things finally got so bad that Service Magic was making more money than I was. In one conversation I told the customer service rep that even a virus is smart enough to not kill it's host!
