Wrongfull Towing
i don't live in the apartments where my car got towed from but this is my best friends house, i'm here maybe 3 or 4 days out the week and i spend the night, i always put the visitors parking permit, just like today but my car has been having electrical problems and the doors don't lock, i believe that Blackout towing took the permit from the car and took it with them and like any shady business they will denie it but i know they did, i've been coming here for 2 years now and i never had problems with my car because it was locked, and now that it wasn't it gets towed i believe these people that work with this company are bad, because i tried to find them on the internet to get an address and i don't even get that i believe they are not legit and they are a scam, they should revoke their permit and pay the money back to the people they have done wrong.

Wrongful Towing
We live in a gated community and vehicles that are registered with the complex have a identifiable sticker. Every family is given three stickers for vehicles but for our fourth vehicle we have a visitor parking decal issued by the rental office to avoid towing that was clearly hanging from the rear view mirror. I came home around 9:30 pm on the evening of Sept. 18, 2009, locked the car and went to my apartment. When I went to my car the next morning the car was gone. I put in a call to 911 and they told me that the car was towed. The registration was current, no unpaid tickets or anything else. Even though the visitor parking decal was clearly hanging in the rear view mirror for them to see because I backed into the parking space they towed my vehicle. When I called them 8:45 am on the morning of Sept. 19, 2009, I was told that they didn't open until 9:00 am and to call back then. My husband called when they opened because I had a class to go to and then he went to the compound to pay for the tow. He was told that a lady told them to tow the truck and so they did. On the receipt there was no identifying marks stating the reason for towing the vehicle. The car was towed wrongfully and we were charged $150.oo to retrieve our vehicle. I believe that this company is shady, not trust worthy and should be put out of business. Even though we are in a recession they go around and tow people for no reason just so that they can make a buck. I think they should be investigated for bogus towing and shut down. I am very disappointed and uphauled at the way I was spoken to on the telephone by Tiffany who answered the phone when I called regarding the whole situation. She told me that I got my car back and I should just be happy about that and not worry about who called the tow in. This is unacceptable business practices and should not be tolerated. Their license to operate should be revoked. I think the BBB needs to hear about this.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Polatai Matthews

Towed Vehicle without Cause
On the late evening of Friday, 18 Sep 2009, my personal vehicle was towed from my apartment complex (Camden Largo) in Largo, MD by Blackout Towing. My vehicle properly displayed a valid parking perment to park on the compound. This is the 2nd incident in two years.
