In August of 08 I purchased a "Outdoor Super Swith" at Cosco with the intent to use it for Christmas Lighting. I open my package a couple days ago for the christmas lighting and discovered that the wireless remote does not work. I do not have my reciept so I can not return it to Costco. I didn't fill out the warranty registration card as I didn't even open the package untill a couple days ago. I e-mailed them and explained this hoping they could correct the problem but the responce I got was:
"Unfortunately it is not possible to send a new remote. The units work only as a set and each set is different so I am afraid that there is no replacement remote for your set.
Again I do apologize."
As a consumer I am tired of being ripped off by these companies with their infurior products. The product never worked to begin with and it didn't occur to me to open the package to make sure it did.
I live in a rural area and even if I had opened the pkg the closest Costco is over 100 miles away, one way. It would have cost more to return the product than it cost.
