wAS not activated
On 07/19/10 I purchased a $50.00 Pre Paid Master Card from King Soopers at 7984 Alameda Ave, lAKEWOOD Co. I purchased a $50.00 Mastercard Blank. Purchasing it at the Self Serv I specifically asked what needed to be done. The attendant came over and scanned the card for me and said 'That's all.' it's activated. I asked what else I needed. He said nothing. The next morning I tried to use it and the web site stated that it could not find the card. They gave a number to call. I called the number which is animated and it said they could not find the card. I went back to King Soopers where one lady manager did try to help but could not. She called the manager Nick Arceo. His first comment was that they could do nothing. I explained that it was his store that sold the card and was obligated to activate it and or make sure it was activated. I told him they needed to call the card company. He asked where my activation receipt was. I told him I was not given one and produced my original receipt which I had. He basically called me a liar and said I was given one. At this point my voice raised a bit as I did not appreciate his rude attitude and dismissal. His employee never mentioned an activation receipt nor provided one nor said I needed one and I specifically asked what else I needed when HE scanned the card for me when I bought it. And now the Manager was basically telling me I WAs a liar and they would do nothing. I told him he was a thief and he threatened to have me arrested and told me to leave. As if I should not be upset at his arrogance and nasty refusal to help me. A lazy arrogant man, who couldn't even look into the matter, instead inferring I was a liar. If you cannot trust King Sooper emlpoyees to guide you in your purchase because they are not informed or too lazy to help, and ythen the manager decideds, without so much as checking out a story that I am at fault, that speaks to the same cold meaness in corporatre America. Perhaps Nickuy got his training from Goldman Sachs.
