I have been selling about 50+ blendtec blenders per month with an average of $ 50 profit on each blender, and that for a few years. (My business www.3blenders.com). I review blenders and their functionality.
Because Blendtec blenders are noisy (3 hp blender motor) I have designed a sound enclosure specifically to fit the EZ blender, the Total blender, and the HP3A. I have also designed and offered to sell a blender tamper / dowel for these blenders due to customer demand. I have seen some smoothie bars using the EZ blender with spatula and fork in hand to push down on ingredients...
Tom Dickson, CEO of Blendtec called me February 2, 2010 to demand that I stop making false claims or misleading claims on my website about his blenders. But because I am only interested in stating the truth from the consumer's standpoint and for the consumers to intelligently inform themselves, I declined Tom Dickson's generous offer (to take off my reviews in place of him not suing me).
On February 3, 2010, Cathy Hamilton, the Residential Sales Team Manager sent an email to my vendor and interfered in my business relationship with my distributor and me and demanded that they no longer sell Blendtec blenders to me.
I am planning on suing Blendtec for intentional interference in my business affairs and demand payment of 250, 000 $ for damages. I have a copy of the email. And according to my attorney, that is all I need.
