Public service announcement:
Blue Fakes has now apparently been closed as a result of federal court judgment against them in November. They were sued by various name brand watch makers for selling fakes. If you go to http://www.bluefakes.com/ you now see the court order.
When I tried to contact them regarding a warranty question, their phone is not answered, and probably disconnected. Email is returned as undeliverable. I bought and received a fake Rolex on 'special sale discount'. Apparently, they were trying to burn out inventory before being closed down, and I got in at the very end of their road. It was a couple hundred dollars less than other swiss fakes advertised.
Unlike some of the complaints on this board, I received the correct model ladies gold Rolex. It looks great, has all the correct dial, case and clasps markings as promised, down to the laser logo engraving on the crystal, which supposedly confirms it is a real swiss fake. A trustworthy local jeweler and private Rolex repair guy said it was a 'great fake' that he couldn't easily tell from real, UNTIL removing the band and finding the word 'stainless' engraved and visible beneath the gold plating on the side of the case. It has the 'hacking' feature and smooth sweep second hand. I apparently got a good fake for my money [I hope].
However, the clasp has a slight defect in the catch/locking mechanism and won't hold closed. Now that they are out of business, instead of being able to return the watch for warranty, my local jeweler will repair or replace the clasp, but he can't get one properly marked like this. He is going to open the case to see what is inside. I'm hoping it is swiss. Hope springs eternal.
