Join Me in Picketing in Las Vegas
I can see many of you out there were duped just like me... I am looking for folks to join me in picketing potential "customers" outside of their flagship i.e. biggest cash cow, Club 36 in LV. Nevada for an afternoon or even two?
Hope to set it up for March 2010 on a Sunday/Monday..
I hope to get all of my $$$$$ refunded quickly in case they go bankrupt.
Sincerely,
[email protected]

No Notice "Past Due"
We joined Bluegreen in the spring of 2005 or 2006 and have always paid our annual dues in May. This past week, we got a no-notice bill stating we owe them a much higher maintenance fee than usual, real estate tax, and a finance charge and late fee based on the first two items plus the ARDA, which is supposed to be voluntary. We never received the original (November) bill for these fees, and Bluegreen did not bother to check with us, although we have always paid on time previously. We have therefore told Bluegreen and Illinois' Attorney General that we consider the additional charges fraudulent and that we will not pay anything beyond our bill. In addition, since our payments are due in May, why are they demanding payment now?
We also were lied to about Bluegreen having resorts in our state. When we purchased our "weekend" points, we told them clearly and specifically that we wanted only the number of points we would need to take a "weekend" trip in Chicago's northern suburbs. Instead, when we wanted to use our points this year, they told us they only had the same resorts as Silverleaf, which is extremely limited in its offerings and definitely does not include the Chicago area.
We want out! Please let us know how to accomplish this with the best financial result possible for our family.

resale
Went to a presantation, bluegreen said we would get more if we bought from them, , charter bonus time, payed dues, ect, , we bought, , , then we got home and found some resales out there, , pinnacle and timeshare resale, they said we would get all the same things that the company would get so we cancelled our ownership with bluegreen we bought, and bought from a second source, , , 6 months later still no title or papers, , no deed, , no charter, , no bonus time, ect, we should have kept our purchase with bluegreen, , now we are stuck with nothing, , lost our money to, , had to pay cash with the other guys, , , so my advice only buy from the bluegreen company, , , , sighned RESALE RIP OFF

SCAM
My husband and I are VERY upset with this company, they have pretty much taken over the Dells. SAY NO FROM THE START. DO NOT GO SEE THE PROPERTY b/c the words "FREE _______ (you fill in the blank with what they offer you)". We arrived at this place bright and early on the FOURTH OF JULY. A sales representative sits you down and spends an hour attempting to pour this so called amazing "point system" in your head: DONT BUY IT. Then when you say NO a sales manager comes over and HARASSES you into at least leaving with some sort of purchase in your hand. Luckily-We got out with the "Sampler" and in 12 months with a loss of only $1000 we can ditch this company. I'm not even sure we will be using this because of the time restrictions and the fact that we do not want to be BULLIED anymore. I am hoping now that we will not be paying maintenance fees. I can't believe there is a company out there that deceives people and treats them like this. We WILL NOT be giving them our bank account number (which they want for automatic deposit) b/c I have just read somewhere that they share ALL this information with other companies. RUN RUN RUN AWAY FAST AS YOU CAN! I do not look forward to all of the phone calls we will be receiving in less than a years time to purchase this SCAM.

Unauthorized charges
We were approached in a sport store about a wonderful vacation opportunity for free, all for a 90 minute sales pitch for the best time share in the world. We had to provide our own transportation, and they put us up in some crappy out of the way hotel for our 'vacation'. After more than 4 hours of pitching this wonderful opportunity, they got us. I admit we were stupid. We paid $10, 000 for our deed in South Carolina, and away we went, with promises of grandeur. Since that initial purchase, and after they got our money, we have only been able to book one vacation in four years. Every year we pay over $700 in maintenance fees for nothing. At any given time or day, you can call them until you're blue in the face, and you will be told, every single time, that there are no properties available, anywhere, for any date you give them. If you refuse to pay your maintenance and yearly dues, you will be sent to collections, and they charge you more than 30% extra for their services. I just got scammed out of $1200 so that my credit would not be affected. There was nothing else I could do. I'm ready to explode.
I have been perusing the internet and have come across hundreds of complaints about this same corporation, all with the same exact problems. I have signed up for class action lawsuits, and have come across one web site who is seeking names to start another. If you have been ripped off as I have, and are desperate for some kind of way out of this nightmare, call them at (256) 571-0151. I know there are thousands if not more people out there with the same issues. Maybe together we can get this corporation shut down and stop ripping people off.
We were ignorant and did not do any information seeking about this place, but they get you at the sales pitch. Promises, promises, promises, until you sign on the dotted line. Then, they are finished with you. You will NOT get a vacation at any of their resorts, and you will lose every single point that you have earned with them, unable to use them.
I am desperate to get out of this madness, but at the same time, I want my money back, all of it. And, I wouldn't be upset to get something extra for the nightmares we have endured.
If anyone knows of a class action suit, please contact me for signup. For that matter, if anyone knows any kind of way to get me out of this nightmare, please let me know. Hopefully, together, we can shut this ripoff scam vacation club down!!! I need help, as well as thousands of others who feel up against a wall.

Cancelled my 3 day vacation
In October of '08 I purchased a Bluegreen vacation for $59 with the understanding that I was required to take my wife and listen to a presentation about a timeshare for purchase. After the presentation was finished I would recieve $50 in gift cards to Bass Pro Shops. I chose Hershey, PA as my destination as I have a 4 yr old and an infant and it is close to OH. I booked the trip early in Nov. and went on to begin planning to spend the remainder of the week of July 4th in that area for the kids' enjoyment. Today, 1/16/09, 3 months after the reservations Bluegreen calls and says due to market conditions my Hershey vacation has been cancelled and I need to chose a different vacation spot. I said no I would not change so they just said your money will be refunded within 5 days and now my summer vacation plans are all a wash. Do not buy into these peoples program. They have rules about when and how you can cancel on them but they don't abide by the same rules.

Awful company
A person will call you up on the phone saying, 'you've won 4 roundtrip air tickets with a value of up to 3900.00$' All you have to do is come to Bluegreen to pick them up. Well, when you get there, it's a timeshare sale. They got pissed at us because we kept saying 'NO', and we were treated like crap.
The 'free' airline tickets, you must reserve a room of their choice at a unreasonable price, you are extremely limited on where you can and can't go, when you can travel and they are only good for a very short amount of time.
What I was told when they called me and what actually happened was WAY off!!! If they call you, it's not even worth it unless you ARE looking to buy a timeshare.

Public beware
My wife and I went to a owners updatein Dec. 2005 and were persuaded to buy another ownership to increase our points. We were reluctant to buy the second ownership but were told by our salesman that bluegreen would help us sell it if we didn't need it.
I called Bluegreen a few minutes ago to sell and was told that they don't do that. Public BEWARE.

Change the rules
I purchased a timeshare thru Bluegreen. I bought 6000 points, which at the time would get me a 1 bedroom condo at any of Bluegreen's resorts. I was assured at the time of purchase that 6000 points would always be enough to get a 1 bedroom at any resort at peak time. I was also assured that any new resort brought into the Bluegreen portfolio would not be more then 6000 points. I was told that in the event 1 bedrooms became more costly, I would be "gifted" the additional points to be able to continue reserving a 1 bedroom unit. ALL OF THAT WAS A COMPLETE LIE!! The new resorts that are added are usually take more points then 6000. At some of the existing resorts, Bluegeen has added "high red" and "leaf" seasons. Red was the highest season when I purchased. Now, my points won't even allow me to reserve at the older resorts during "High red" and "Leaf" seasons. My points have become useless in many ways. Be very aware of these guys willingness to say anything to make a sale and then change the rules afterward. I have contacted everyone that will listen within the Bluegreen Corporation and gotten nowhere. Basically once they have the sale and your money, you are no longer important to them.
