Stay far away from them
Our X5 has been in for Suspension, Transmission and DSC Failure Warnings numerous times to Club Motors Randburg. The car was slanted to the left. A wire & a few fuses was repaired. The same errors and slanting persisted. The vehicle became undrivable and was towed by BMW-on-Call back to the dealership. Sent away again with a clean bill of health. BOC was called to the rescue again. Same errors, this time 'the battery' was causing the errors, battery replaced. A week later all errors again, this time the vehicle was uncontrollable and the suspension was rocking the car from left to right. My husband who was driving the vehicle to Polokwane on business was able to move the vehicle to the emergency lane of the N1 highway. Black Smoke was speewing from the back left of the car. Once stopped the run flat tyre warning came on. The car was towed back to CMR. It has been 9 days since and I had to call them to find out what the status is. They are awaitng a deposit for a cracked rim and new tyre. Goerge confirmed that the have not even checked the suspension. It is our opinion that the damage was caused by the original error. Why must we pay for negligence? I was advised to talk to BMW SA.

BMW CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE - TWO YEARS TO FIX NOISE IN CAR
I had to resort to contacting the President of BMW to finally fix the annoying noise at the back of my BMW. This was after taking my car to the BMW dealership four times over a two-year period to try fix the noise - which they never did.
I am convinced that this noise in the back of car is widespread among BMW 3-series cars (E90). I have now heard it in four different 3-series BMWs and I was told by a BMW representative that they have had other people complain about the same issue. I have a formal BMW Field Report with pictures explaining what was causing this noise and how technicians should fix it.
Ever since taking possession of my 2009 328i BMW (E90) there has been an annoying intermittent clicking or ticking noise that seemed to be coming from the rear window area, near the top of the seat, or where the rear window meets the rear parcel shelf. I finally complained to the CEO of BMW in Germany, Norbert Reithofer, BMW Canada President Franz Jung, and BMW Canada Director of Aftersales, Stephan Kuester. BMW head office assigned an expert technician who identified the problem and fixed it.
It was necessary to get BMW head office involved since their dealer service was a nightmare - apparently incompetent, rude, patronizing and they didn't seem to care less about putting the time and effort into resolving the problem. Their typical M.O. was to claim they couldn't hear the noise, even though on a couple occasions I was in the car with them when they heard the noise. This seems to be the Modus Operandi at BMW when they cannot or do not want to resolve a noise - just deny hearing it. On two occasion when I went to pick up my car they said they didn't have time to have a proper look at it because they had too many cars to service and they ran out of time...even though I had scheduled a service 2 weeks in advance.
I was so furious at one point that I called the owner of the BMW dealership to discuss it with him. He sort of chuckled when I told him about the extremely poor service and rude BMW service representatives and manager. He said that noises are incredibly difficult to resolve and it was a waste of time to try more than once. He never apologized and his manager actually said that if I am not satisfied I should probably get my car serviced elsewhere. Unbelievable.
If you have the same problem please let me know.

Felony theft PC 487
Recently I took my vehicle to get it checked based on a recall to my local BMW dealer. Since the beginning everything seemed out of place, the wait was long, not a single rep asked me if I was being assisted already. The inspection took more than expected so I had to take their shutte to my school. All this to come back and find that MY iPOD WAS MISSING. Yes, immediately I went to my advisor, she stated that I had signed a waiver saying that all my items were removed out the car. The fact that my iPod was attached to the device that connects to the radio mean its part of the car not lose items laying around. In addition, by no means does that waiver give reason for workers to steal customer's items. To this point they have not returned any phone call. I plan on filing a police report, it's considered a felony burglary knowing the retail of the item which is $4oo+ with itunes songs added.

poor service
i bought a car that i believe is a lemon from bmw, it broke too many times and recently here in jacksonville, florida it stalled and i had Brian (service manager) sit in it to see the service engine light is on and the car was shaking not driving more than 20 mph, its a 335i, then i gave the car to him and it was taken in by my b/f just two weeks before and they falsely imput wrong information about what happened because they documented that we didnt want to wait and its not true we wanted the car diagnosed and we were told that the computer was reset but today i was told that nothing has been done because we didnt want to wait, its a lie, he waited for 5 hours. they are not taking accountability and responsibility for this car. they woud not give me a loaner and i didnt feel that they cared about what i had to say. i pay $700 a month for this car and it was very expensive and it has nothing but problems, ive complained about the navigation turning on/off since i bought the car for last two years and i have records and about the char comming out and this is the second time its dying on me. please help. loss of money, i cant go to work, i lost clients, i lost time, i cried today and im paying $700 for a car that i believe is a lemon.

Misrepresentation, poor service
I bought my current 08, 335i Coupe back in November of '08, 3 months before the end of my lease on my '05 330 Cabriolet.
I had the 330 in the dealership for a repair assessment for a leaky roof (multiple times in) and blistering paint on the front bumper when I talked to a salesman who convinced me that I could be in a new car for similar payments and without penalty. When a stone chip in the glass was noted, I was told I would be given the opportunity to have it fixed on my own. Of course, that never happened. Instead a month or so after I began driving the new care I got a bill for $600+ for the windshield, the damage to the bumper which was blistered paint, NOT an impact and a mark on the leather which, when I was sold the car was explained to me as "natural variation in the leather" and not a defect. After 16 months of ignored emails to the salesman and BMW financial I am being forced to pay or go to court. What a crock.
Guess I won't be buying BWM number 4 after all.
