Seniors Beware of Directv . . .
I signed up for Directv 10 April 2010 -- even tho they advertised Free Delivery and No Charges for installation I was charged $21.90 handling fee -- I was told I would be reimbursed -- it never happened. Even with my Rebate Coupon they charged me for my first month of service $67.90. I have never recovered to date or been credited any over-charges.
I have been in contact with customers services by email only so I could save their replies by email -- I have many issues with them at this time mostly with their billing and charges issues that they refuse to assist in correcting -- I decided to take matters of billing into my own hand s -- I cancelled my ATM and told customer service that I had lost it -- I cancelled online billing and told them to send my statements by snail mail. I did this so I could audit and make corrections on my own account. I also sent a letter to the Vice President of Directv and a copy to the billing department with my statement listing all my complaints since day one. I'm 70 years old on social security and if I have to change to another company for my tv viewing -- I will -- contract or no contract. Not a happy trooper.
