Want the chair fixed May 16, 2011
Shoddy Practices
I have a lift chair that I purchased for my mother. The remote broke and would not work. I purchasesd extended warenty on the chair parts. I called the end of February for them to come and fix the chair. It is now the second week in May and amny calls later, the chair is still not fixed. I will never purchase anything from Bob's. I am calling ina complaint to the consumer protection agency.

poor service
thank you bobs furniture you are the f-in worst company in the world thank you for the living room set that you never sent thank you for selling me a couch that will be on back order for the rest of eternity. maybe when I die you send me the other half of the couch for me to sit on. Maybe I should go to your store take a picture of the living room set have it blown up big enough so I can sit on it. Heres a concept
why don't you stop selling furniture that you don't have!!! OMG what an idea!!! will I get the it if I buy it I doubt it!!!

Took off from work to wait for furniture that never arrived
I purchased two mattresses, paid for delivery, and was told they would be delivered today. I took off from work to receive the delivery. The mattresses never arrived. I made several calls to the store throughout the day and was told they would be delivered. At 8:00pm with no delivery I called the store once again. Nadine told me that my delivery was not even routed; all she could do was schedule another delivery date. I asked to speak to a manager who said it was odd that I did not receive a phone call.

DEFECTIVE FURNITURE
Bob's Furniture has the cheapest furniture it falls apart, the products are mostly all Defected products. NEVER AGAIN! I will never recommend this store. I have been waiting 3 months for new furniture since they send damage items. Customer service the worst they just put u on hold then hang up on you. Thank god my sales rep gave me his cell phone that's how many times i called him in 3 months! Oh and they don't want to give me my money back. SO THIS STORE NEEDS TO CLOSE DOWN

Ignorance/miscommunication
I ordered a dresser for my mother to be delivered to a nursing home. I specifically stated to please have the gentlemen delivering the furniture to call me so that I would be there. I live 3 miles away. They delivered the furniture without specifically calling me, and on the slip it had my mother's name, not the nursing home. Which I specifically requested also. The salesman was on something, because, as I was explaining, he was just doing his own thing. He was downright ignorant. Won't be shopping at Bob's again.

horrible service in all aspects
Ordered living/dining/bedroom furniture in Poughkeepsie warehouse (total $3000, 6 month interest free credit) in the beginning of November. Waited 2 hours in store because of some problems with their software. Finally I was told that one of the item is missing and can be picked up in the store in a month (got it in a month). The order has been delivered without bed frame. After that my relationship with BF become a nightmare. There are 3 parameters of delivery: the address, the item, pick up/delivery. All 3 parameters were arbitrary changed 4 times in a row! Delivery to wrong address (2 times), delivery of wrong item (1 time), delivery vehicle came for pick up of something instead delivery (1 time). I took 4 days-off just to do not get my bed's frame. The story is not finished yet. In the end of January I requested pickup in the store and was told that the item is unavailable and I'll get a phone call when it will be ready. On February 12 I got a phone call that I can pick up my item in the store for a week starting from February 12. Today, on February 15th, I've called to the store, no one was aware about the item, after some conversation customer service told me that probably my item will be available in a few days! Not over yet. On my second billing cycle (should be 6 in total) I got a bill exceeding total price of my purchase! After a phone call they said that problem is known (billing for a wrong money!) and my next bill will be changed accordingly. Finally I've paid in full just to be sure do not have any problems with wrong billing again.
Summary: 2.5 month of my bed non assembled, 4 days-off, hours on phone waiting, wrong billing, hours of waiting in the store. And still in a process.
Stay away!

my bedroom set
On December 2010 went to Bob's and I'm talking at the very beginning of that month, in the store I make the decision to buy me a bedroom set, but I didn't knew was the headaches I would have for that decision. Just after I pay 2, 281.00 for my bedroom set they told me that they didn't have it on stock and the next delivery for that would be quick in January 2011 a month after I bought it they bring it all damage we in February and so far I still dont have my bedroom set and if true is all I have say here more true is that BOBS FURNITURE LOST ANOTHER CLIENT. that people is rude and the worst to deal with...

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!
I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever order from bobs furniture ever again. The customer service is terrible, noone there knows how to return a phone call or schedule a delivery, they don't even know how to place an order. I have sat on the phone on hold 3 times, once for 57 minutes, once for 40 minutes and once for an hour on top of waiting 3 hrs in the store for the order to be processed. Every single piece that I ordered from Bob's was damaged so after waiting for an hr on hold, they sent someone to service the furniture. After someone came to look at the furniture, they basically covered up the scratches with paint and told me they were going to replace the headboard. Again, no one ever called to tell me when my parts were going to be replaced. Now its 1/25 the day my mattress was supposed to be delivered and surprise surprise, no mattress. Again after waiting for a half hr on the phone, they tell me the order was currently placed and no delivery address wasn't attached to the order, again, no one called. I am currently on the phone with bob's ON HOLD, AGAIN to refund and pick up all my furniture. It is officially my life's mission to destroy bobs furniture name.

Damaged Furniture after repeated deliveries
We purchased a bedroom set and a living room set (couches and tables). The living room set took 3 deliveries to get right because the pieces came in damaged each time. The living room tables were okay but the drawers had to be fixed by their repair guys and the TV console was good.

The couch, love seat and chair and ottoman were an entire different story. After about 5 deliveries (I lost count) of damaged furniture, we asked for a reselect. We spent more money and ordered a different set. Although this set was much better quality, it was delivered damaged 3 times. We asked for a refund and got it.

All of this took approximately a year. At this point we are sick of deliveries but we have to go shop for furniture elsewhere to replace this set or we'll be sitting on the floor.

The furniture that we kept is not holding up as well as I'd hoped. We had a water spill on a night stand and now the paint is peeling and some of the living room tables already show signs of wear.

I think that instead of the slogan "Just pure value", Bob's slogan should be "You get what you pay for". Unfortunately, in this tough economy, Bob's is making money because people cannot afford to buy expensive quality furniture. You get furniture that looks good but if you look closely, there are defects, some that are visible and some that aren't (one of the couches had giant holes underneath fabric in the back).

On the other hand, I really have nothing bad to say about their customer service and delivery people. Most were extremely friendly and helpful. The delivery guys, especially, are used to having to redeliver over and over again. After the inconvenience of so many deliveries, we were refunded the delivery charge and got a small credit.

If you do decide to shop at Bob's, make sure to inspect the furniture within 3 DAYS of delivery. Call customer service within that time and there shouldn't be a problem with redelivery.

I recently purchased a bedroom set for my young daughters and a living room set and have had to wait weeks and months for the peices to come in and they are being delivered at all different times because things are either backordered or damaged. My children's bedroom set was scheduled to be delivered (except for the bed frames because that was on backorder) and when the delivery men arrived they had a damaged desk that they could not leave, only mattresses, there was no box springs because the set did not state that you needed a box spring to support the mattresses, and the delivery men would not leave the loaner frames because I had no box springs...I had to order the box springs and then the following week they delivered the new desk, box springs, and the loaner frames...the actual bed frames are still backordered and it has a month since I made the purchase and they are not expecting the actual bed frames for about another month. Now to the living room set, I purshased the set that I liked, a sectional couch, coffee table, 2 end tables, and a pair of lamps...the sales lady said that the sectional was backordered for 2-3 weeks and the tables and lamps were backordered out even farther, I agreed to wait on the sectional but picked out new tables and lamps that were not on backorder. I paid for the living room set in full that day and have been waiting for a call from them about the delivery date. I finally got a call today that the sectional was in but the tables are now on backorder and I would have to wait a few more weeks for the tables but they would deliver the sectional next week. I am shocked at the fact that the tables that were in stock and paid for are now on backorder, I would think that they would put the tables aside until delivery seeing as how I already paid for them. I purshased the bedroom set and then the living room set a week later, if I would have known all those inconviences were going to happen with the bedroom set I would not have gone back there for my living room set..I have now just experienced the same inconviences with the living room set!! I will never go back there and would not reccomend Bob's Furniture to anybody!!
