Bad experience
Nice and simple...we bought a video console from Bob's Furniture. Here's how our experience unfolded:
* Sept 1st 2009 - Video console we bought was delivered with damages.
* Oct 17th 2009 - Serviceman visited to repair the damage. Serviceman identified a replacement video console was needed.
* Oct 31st 2009 - A replacement arrived damaged. It was not accepted.
* Nov 7th 2009 - Another replacement arrived damaged. This even after Bob's Furniture told use they would inspect the replacement in their warehouse before it was shipped to us. It was not accepted.
* Nov 21st 2009 - Two months later we accepted a 30% refund on our original video console purchase price but we had to give up our manufacturers warranty claim in order to get this discount on our video console.
We will NEVER buy anything from Bob's Furniture again!! Take notice.

WORST quality
DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM BOB"S!!! I purchased bedroom furniture from them in August of 2007. I also purchased the goof proof which is a complete waste of time and even more of a headache. Within the first 2 months of owning the furniture all of the tracks had broken on the three dressers, I have a giant split in the wood of my nightstand and the backs of the chests are bowing, their response "it is passed warranty" I can not believe how this crap can be sold. If I knew where Bob lived I would use this crap furniture to start a bonfire on his front lawn. He should be ashamed of himself and this sham of a business. The customer service is pathetic and useless. You get what you pay for with this junk. I have an appt this Saturday for them to come take look at it, I already know they are not going to do anything and if they do it will be at my expense, well I have news for them, I will single handedly ruin Bob's little empire if they do not replace my furniture. I will stand by the front door of his showroom and I will show and tell their potential customers what they will be getting themselves into. I will be the last one laughing at the end if it kills me.

carpet beetles in couch
My kids bought a couch at Bob's Furniture. The first two came in damaged and finally the third couch was ok. In three months the living room was infested with carpet beetles. The exterminator said that they were definitely in the couch as when he went to kill them they crawled back into the couch. Bob's will NOT stand by their furniture. However someone told me that a place where she worked had a Bob's couch dellived also and it was filled with bugs. They did take it back. They will not give us back our money. We had to throw away 2 carpets, bomb the apartment, bring all the clothes to the dry cleaner and stay in a hotel for two nights until it was safe to go back.

crap for furniture
This company should be shut down...the products are made of balsa wood...While I was shopping there (wife's idea), I walked by a bedroom piece of furniture and the whole top part just fell off.. ALL the salesmen just scattered and went out of sight...If I could picket the place I would just so other unaware customers would not be suckered...Everything that was bought there from our freinds was returned at some point...Discount my A_ _ ! If I didn't have a new 59" TV that I love, there would be holes in the screen from each time his commercial came on... Bob belongs in the same room as that "Maze" guy that sells cleaning products...with the key thrown away...

Unassembled furniture rip off
I purchased an electric fireplace media center. It was not cheap! We paid $600 for it, and it is a lovely looking piece of furniture. The salesman told us we would have to install the firebox into the mantel. He said this 2 to 3 times, so we would not expect a fully assembled fireplace.
However, our good salesman neglected to say the mantel would not be assembled.
So, after waiting 3 weeks (the store carries no stock except for damaged goods in their 'pit.') for it to be shipped from their main warehouse, we went to pick up the item and much to our chagrin, the warehouse person drops 2 boxes into the pickup truck. I asked where the mantel was. He kicked one of the boxes and grunted 'here.'
I went inside. I was told that this was a 'flat pack' purchase. I calmly stated that I expected to put a firebox into an assembled mantel. No, no, no, that was wrong, I was rather rudely informed.
When I began to explain what I understood the purchase to be, the young lady became rather indignant stating that I had to take it as it is.
So...I took the pieces in the boxes, because I wanted this fireplace.
However, next time I want to purchase 'flat pack' furniture, I will NOT spend $600, and I'm sure my 'flat pack' furniture purchase will be made at IKEA or Christmas Tree Shop.
It took me about 4 hours to assemble this (with assistance holding parts). I do not believe it was meant for the average consumer to put together.
Bob's is a rip-off. The minute they get your money, they treat you very different.
I would not recommend this store to anyone.

Table Finish
I purchased a dining room table and just two months later the finish began to come off. I also purchased their Goof Proof plan, which is under Guardsman. Bob's and Guardsman both denied the claim and I am stuck with the table. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Bob's it's cheap furniture and they DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT!!!

Awful customer service
I bought a new mattress at Bob's Discount Furniture. The mattress was priced right and is comfortable. The bed frame however was a PIECE OF JUNK! The legs bent and broke off less than a month after I bought the thing. I called customer service and they sent a tech guy over a week later. The tech guy said that the frame was damaged by accidental customer damage and not manufacturer defect (hello the stupid thing should last 10-15 years not 3 weeks!). Then the store told me that they would not replace the frame because I did not by the Goof Proof (or whatever) plan on the frame. I was NEVER offered the plan. It was only offered to protect the mattress (which I bought).
The ads practically scream that they guarantee 100% customer satisfaction, but that is crap! Even though I am very happy with the mattress and what I paid, I will never EVER by anything from Bobs again!

Awful company
I put an order in to get replacement cushions for my couch in October. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks which made me thin Thanksgiving., By the time Thanksgiving rolled around and passed I started calling to see where they were. I recorded the amount of phone calls and they amount of time I was put on hold and even wrote to them. I called weekly and asked and kept getting the answer that they were on the way. Christmas came and went and still know replacement cushions - Then the Superbowl came and went and I kept calling and always saying that they had left the warehouse and they are on the way. Well In Feb. of 2008 I must have gotten a new employee who hadn't heard my story and she told me that they were being sent from a third world and yes they were on the way. This didn't sound right so instead of waiting a week, I called the next day and low and behold they were not able to get the delivery so they canceled my order. All I needed was the foam cushions! Not the material - no just the cushions. I am so pissed at that company! I will never go back. I will never allow any of my friends or family go there either. They never even had the courtesy of answering my letter - no apology - no nothing. He ***!

Terrible service/poor quality
I had a bedroom set delivered for my daughter, although we did not pay alot, we did not expect great quality but something decent until she is older, then we'd buy a quality- long term furniture. Well boy did we make a mistake in buying from Bob's. We had to have the original set returned because of crack, nicks and blemishes. The second set was slighltly better with the exception of a dresser, and the third dresser was cracked after we were told the manager will inspect this before it is sent out. What a disappointment- the first time they offered a $50 store credit- what a joke. Never again!
